I agree, too but I can also see the argument others have about not driving them. After all, they're works of technology and art and, given the clowns on the road, would hate to an already well-dinged Hyundai make a meal of someone's pride and joy
Then, there's Pro Hart's Roller as a strong case for 'driving your art', with all the attendant risks -- although in his case, it might add value
What do the regs say? Surely, the car has to be "drivable"

Yeh the best part of modifying your car is for you to be able drive the car out and feel proud of what you have done to the car.. there is no point putting the car in the garage doing nothing hehe anyway any of you guys been to Tokyo Autosalon?? I never been there but would love to go one day

they changed the rules a few years back, so now they have pro class and elite class.... can never figure out which is which, i think pro class is for cars like the hot rod styled magna, gold engined S15, and centred seated wrx coupe (ie. not registeable cars)

1. you paid the workshop(s) to do the work
2. you participated in the works yourself (ie. actually get your hands dirty)

It will feel much satisfying of course when you participated yourself but sometimes there is thing that we cant do so have to ask workshop ppl to do it i guess..

I think not many rx8 owners actually playing around with the interior and cause mine is just an auto but I install all the "go" parts I could find except header, middle pipe and ecu so my car is not as fast like you guys car so the only way I could improve it by more "show" hehe but I admire all of you guys car cause all look so nice and unique from one another (I love rx8 so much I guess hehe )

Peter is great with stereo while Vanh can do amazing things with interior materials. guess thats what you get when you left master autotrim.
i got murat to do my 2nd interior (basically finishes the 1st interior) for the other mazda, he left master autotrim also, and now also teaches at the tafe. great guy and awesome job!
gave up on the idea because i have "been there, done that", and sort of drifting away from the modified car/car show scene. not going to keep the 8 for a long time is another factor. who knows, the mod bug may bite me again...... but it will not be the RX8

im not into audio stuff (which is shame cuz we actually have sponsors willing to give us the parts at cost price and installation free), so i wont ever bother wit doing up the system. we got few cars from our club entering the DB Drags at autosalon, so I leave that side up2 some of the other girls (im in all girl car club by the way). We all have different cars and different aspects we value in showing. My car and I think 2 others have entered into the dyno challenge. I dont think my car will pull off anymore then it got last year.. however last yr i was silly and kept my DSC on.. so would be interesting to compare it.
Answering the questions from skidpan thread (cuz i dont wanna keep talkin about this there.. lol), no i didnt get trophey would have been great - its good feeling when ur a minority (girl) in an industry like this. We have won all up 4 tropheys.
Its from 29-30th April, so 2 weeks.
