took the car to Bathurst, wow
i went for a spin to the bathurst race track, had goose bumps the first lap
its amazing how steep the back of the mountain is, ( the bit where u see everyone lift their inside wheel on the way down ) .
Also the track`s a lot narrower than it looks on tv. i have a new found respect for the drivers, the concentration required must be intense.
their senses must be working to the point of overload, listening, feeling, judging, juggling speeds, distances, braking, predicting others, stratagies, noises, sliding, gear, revs, tyres,..... not to mention the commentators trying to talk to them during a race.
its worth the drive for a race fan, its signposted at 60 , i`d love a trackday out there !
the car felt so great, the sound of the transmission is so racey, and the car handles great on the smooth track, its even fun doing laps hovering around the speed limit
might be worth considering as a cruise option ??, the race museum was pretty cool, the rx7 series (6 or 8) is there, the green BP car from a few years back
here`s a pic of my car at the pit entry at the end of conrod straight, (hope it attaches)
if the photo`s not there, planB, go here,..

Yes I remember many years ago driving around what was essentially the track with three other people yelling slow down as we went across the skyline and down the esses at only 60km/hr. Yes I respect the driving ability of those guys!
