I had a top day by the way. I love doing donuts on the top of the mountain! :p

Hymee, I don't need a Nikon. I choose Canon so my uncle can pass on his unwanted telescopic lenses cheap! :p

Yeah loved it when auzoom was told you could fully turn the DSC off. Hundreds of dollars of rubber later his tyres were all nicely warmed up for heading back down the mountain. :D

There are times when I hate work. Sounds like it was great fun. Next time I'm going to make sure nothing happens that would come close to requiring me to work on an RX-8 meetup.

So, when's the next one going to be and where?

Where were you draco? work

We were waiting for you in Melton Main Road.....

Next one will be tricky. coz I think it is hard to top the Lake moutain run with all the twisties and no cars . No cops and the speed limit is 100 kmh! Although I went part of the run over 150kmh.

Any suggestion for say in 2 months time?

Hang on... we are going tracking then in July.

How about an Event Oneill day for the 8s? I will contact Luke today.

Two possible routes were mentioned yesterday, A trip down the back way to Arthur's Seat or down the Great Ocean Road part of the world. Both offer some really good back roads which do not see a lot of traffic!

As to when that's a lot harder to work out! But if you really are into driving you should really consider joining Taka, atridge and myself on the next track day July 19. Road drives are fun but the track days are just a total blast especially with fellow RX8's because when your not on the track you are in the pits swapping stories having the best time. On the track you only have to go as fast as your comfortable with and it's a lot safer playing with your car there than on the open road!

Event O'Neil will depend on day and cost. I've not got much annual leave available so a week day is not possible.

A July weekend drive would be good. What about a Great Ocean Road drive? Not necessarily the entire length, but it would be a really good drive.

I'll start a thread for suggestions for the next one.

OK peeps. Apologies fo rthe delay but I got slammed with work and have to head to malaysia tomorrow.

There are 75 pictures from xatnep so I thought we could do some sort of choose your own adveture for the main picture thread.

Check out http://rx-8.harrisfamily.id.au

chose say 10 or 15 of your fav pics, post em here and when all is done I will put he most popular up...needless to say everyone will get there fav up so make sure you identify your "Must Have" picture.

Andrew

PS...I cant beleive with all the photos and video that not one of Takas, mine or (if never caught the name of the dude in) the RX-7's burn outs were caught on camera :-(

Danielle ..... Me :D :D :D

She just did not enjoy that stretch as much as me. And with the sways and springs, Body roll... What body roll!

When I caught those in front of me I was watching the roll in their rear ends throught the corners. WOW!

If I only had a hoist and 10 sets of sways up the top of the mountain I could have made a fortune. :D

Andrew did say on the way down that he car is about to tip over.

Less body roll = better cornering... that is probably why I lose you on the turns auzoom! :D

You should have sat in the car with me Danielle. :D

I have perfected my heel toe as Matt Coleman taught me to do. I am going to show Matt that in July. He will be happy about that.

I hate you guys that can do this. After having my ankle put back together after pretty much tearing it off I don't have much range of motion it it's movement. I just cannot get my foot to angle enough to blip the throttle while on the brake pedal. Taka maybe you can demonstrate some for me and I'll give it another go. We cannot have you pulling away in the corners.

Ha Ha....Yeah just remember Taka, that I have only to get the sway bars...then you are in trouble;-)

Now, what happened to everyones opinions? Does no one want their picture up in lights for the rest of the world to see?
