voltage issue

The other day I was griving at night and had to pull over to read the map just to get my bearings.

I noticed the room light dimming and getting bright in synchrony with the the indicator. I found this very unusual and have never encountered this in any other car before.

I also have noticed that the charge light in my mobile phone to be a lot dimmer copmared to when it is plugged into my other car...Mazda 626

Has anyone else noticed this.

This is what's going on. It's all AOK, BTW. You were pulled over and idling with your headlights on (maybe A/C too?) high beam maybe? The alternator is rated at 100A....but that would be at some RPM above idle. At idle with the lights on, the current draw on the battery that night was more than the alternator could supply to maintain a steady battery voltage. Hence the flickering interior lights each time you asked for more current (ie, when the three indicators lights blinked on). If you'd revved it a bit, she would've all been all hunky dory .

No No No.......tht is not right at all....

The hampster in the wheel is having heart failure. It's called a rotory because of the hampster wheel.

Anyway you hampster is dying, duck down the local pet store and get a new one before you have a total engine failure on your hands.

c'mon mikey...it clearly says in the manual "if upgrading hamster to rabbit, please be sure to remove rabbit ears first" ... and of course later on (though often missed) "removed rabbit ears may used a tv aerial" .... boom boom :o :o
