Playa78,
You know when you fixed your car did you make sure they put it back together again correctly.. Not your exhaust but your other little issue on the first cruise we had?

the bumper was perfect as shown in the pictures. it's not like I had to get the whole bumper removed, replaced etc.. the mishap I had was a minor scratch to the right side remember? I doubt they would have put the bumper back all twisted inside to fix that...
and also it should mean my stock exhaust would have been crooked if it doesn't fit the system correctly by default...
well, I am thinking of actually writing a formal complaint to Midas HQ,
to the Midas Customer Service Department
Level 10, 420 St Kilda Road Melbourne, Vic 3004
i just hope others don't get the service (?? if at all..) that I got from West Ryde dealer and the HQ should know that this is not good for thier name and business if they carry out work like this and treat customer in such manner..
p.s. baby8, can you pm me with the details of the shop? much appreciated mate.
btw, day 3 into getting adjusted to the hymee system and I am really enjoying the benefit of great sound it produces.. it really lifts the pleasure of driving experience up a notch. =)

People swear when doing service of them as it challenges their brain. It will be easier on them with the Nissans - a more "simpler in their brain" design.
For the owner - I love sophisitication.

From a legal perspective, probably the best thing you can do is raise an official complaint with the NSW Office of Fair Trading. However, I suspect they will probably tell you that it is one in a large queue associated with motor vehicle repairers and dealers. But it's worth doing as ultimately Consumer Affairs publishes lists of 'bad' suppliers, and puts dodgy repairers and traders on notice. See http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/mo...s/repairs.html

I spoke to my local approved fitter about this again today, and we believe the problem may be due to the short "adaptor pipe" being installed 180 degrees out of position. The flange on one end is not square due to the geometry of the design. It is not a big angle on the end of the adaptor pipe, but enough! You can see the bolt up flange clearly in this picture:

I described the photos to him, and he said the system would twist on the rubbers in such a way that it would be crooked as shown in your photos.
I hope this helps!!
Cheers,
Hymee.

Sorry to hear about the "Dodgy Bros" getting a go at your RX-8. Since West Ryde isn't that far from Blacktown where I live, you may want to consider the reputable guys from Charlestone exhaust on Sunnyholt rd, Blacktown.
They did the system for my Cosmo & I drool every time I look at the thing. He works on nothing but performance machinery & knows how to take care of your car.
Here is a link to the DMRH site where I posted pics of the exhaust work performed. Seeing is believing in this case..............
