what was/were your excuse(s).....
when i had an opportunity to trade my last car in for the 8, my excuses to the mrs. were....
- this one's got too many km's, its time for a new car :D
- look, it has 4 doors, perfect for the kids
pls, it was very easy for me, cos the mrs. was away in UK :D
how about you?

I wouldn't call them "excuses" more like logical reasoning & justification
1. My car is due Rego & CTP in November plus service = ~$850-900 (money better spent on a new car)
2. My SP20 will trade-in will devalue even more when it 2005 arrives & my car is 4 not 3 years old.
3. You can already get very good deals because Mazda already take into account the 5% Tariff Reduction due 1 Jan 2005
4. Mazda sales slipped in September (mainly due to lack of supply for Mazda 3) and they will be v.keen to regain places in Manufacturer's charts
5. I'm pretty close to my saving targets
6. I love you
7. After an ongoing "I want an RX-8 as my next car" campaign lasting more than 18 months haven't I worn you down yet?

My turn!
Been driving 4wd's for too long!
My last rotary was an old Series one 7, many many years ago so when a sensible four door family sedan came along, it seemed about time!
So much more sensible than an 330ci, doors are way to big and twice the price! (ah that would be to annoy my little Bro who is over next week for a visit. He's due for a bit of re-education rotor style!)

I was prepared for more of a fight on this one... I still think it was too easy... am waiting for the real bomb to drop... which she will when she wants something...
1)Said i would keep it for 4 years...
2)It costs about the same p/mth as my current car
3)I never ask for anything!! so please...
