I buy mine from WEST END MAZDA at Nth Parramatta.
Last container cost me $48.
You have to ask for the right (rotorhead) parts guy to get the good price. If you get the **** retard they have there, you will be treated with typical Mazda contempt & pay full retail.
Ask for "Dave Calabreeze" & say "Marcus, Mr SP-II" sent you over.
2nd option.
Try EUROCARS MAZDA at Artarmon. Ask for "Daidon" & tell him DMRH said "Hi". You may get the same price as WEST END but I'm not sure.

Thanks guys.I need the Mazda oil as I want to give it to them to use when I service my car at Mazda so I don't have to pay $75 each time and get no left overs for top ups.(and I still service my car at Mazda so I can get my warranty+extended warranty).I'll try that a t Artarmon, thanks Dave.

Yes I am 99.99999999999999% certain that MRO is still made/containerised by CASTROL.
I can not see why you could not use Castrol GTX3..it is a 15W40 mineral only and made for turbo's.
Great heat range for Australian weather...$26.95 for 5 litres

As far as the Castrol is concerned,I would be happy to use it but I doubt Mazda would allow it at their service centres. The warranty they told me was 7 years but I found it hard to believe! When I look at my contract it says contract ends at 175000 km's or October 2011(I bought the car in October 05). I hope it is a full warranty on whole car and not limited(have not clarified!).So based on that I assume it is a 6yr warranty but amazing as it sounds I haven't checked the details yet.I know that the stipulation was that I had to have it serviced at their service centre of course..

Wow, your extended warranty must be with another private insurer as Mazda Australia's warranty limit for whole of car is 4 years, normally 3, you pay about $1000 for an extra years at time of new car delivery, they definitely don't do 7 years.
You do have a corrosion warranty of 6 years with Mazda, well last time I checked they did have the 6 year corrosion warranty.
Many of the 7 year jobs only cover certain components (engine and drive train) and is conditional you have regular services at the warranty selling dealer.

I can tell you guys for a fact that Mazda OEM rotor oil is supplied and manufactured by BP-Castrol. (I do work with them, was with their Auto Lubes guys last Friday)
It's not GTX3 in another bottle.
Unfortunately they have a contract with Mazda that does not allow them to supply the product to anyone other than through a dealer. Bugger.

So what is the big deal about MRO?
The manual has a pretty big range of oils depending on ambient temperatures.
Surely MRO isn't the best in all of these situations?

LOL well Daidon will do it cheaper than retail but not at $48. Might just go for it anyways. Save me the hassle of driving to parramatta unless someone is planning on doing a GB. *hint hint*

Thanks Gents....I'm getting over it now. My issue wasn't the mats themselves, its the way I was treated by Eurocars.
I was first accused of not paying (even when I faxed them proof), sending my mats to Melbourne and then getting shafted by "Daidon" who gave me negative comments on ebay when I gave them positive......I never got an apology. You live and you learn.

Let me see, I have not looked in an 8 owners manual, but I guess if my daily weather temperature reaches say 40 degrees C to a min of 15, it would recommend a 10 or 15 W 40...
Please reply.
