Where is "Lock & Load"

OK, I just found out "Lock & Load" is now BANNED from this forum. I have done a search on the last few days of his posts & was unable to locate anything suspicious.

So under the "freedon of information act" that we call a publically open forum.

I would like a moderator to "publically" explain why this has occurred because I'm smelling something pretty foul on this issue right now. Especially when there appears to be NO HISTORY of forum breaches from this family man/RX-8 owner

If you look hard enough you can catch wind of a post that was deleted.... and it is well known that L&L has had short term ban before.

I'm not saying I'm agreeing with the decision... or not agreeing with the decision... merely stating facts.

From other posts I've seen the moderators on this forum prefer a private discussion on issues with moderation, not a public one.... again stating facts, not an opinion. Now, finally an opinion ... suggest you take it up with the moderators privately.

Lock and Load was banned by US Moderators, in consulatation with the other senior Moderators. He has a long, documented history of violations and reported posts, along with warnings. It was the last straw that broke the camels back, not one particular post.

Freedom of speech has nothing to do with it. There are certain standards and rules that we all agree to when we join.

Contrary to what he belives, I didn't ban him, nor did I instigate the ban.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Sorry for the noob question, but I am curious how not to get banned. Could you give a hypothetical example of these

What was Taka talking about when he got booted? He's usually on-topic.

He did become a bit crotchety in recent times. The early L&L was lots more fun, regaling us with stories about picking up Yakuza-owned Japanese prostitutes in Gold Coast bars etc. Great fun! I'm sure his wife had quite a laugh.

1. Just keep the fun family style (innuendos are ok just don't be offensive)
2. Don't bash anyone or get mean to them
3. Respect other people's point of view (some of us are nutty including me, but who cares)
4. Post appropriately (e.g. RX8 mod question... under the appropriate RX8 post, pirate patches ... lounge area)

Unless you post something completely profane, racist, or just really offsenive all around, you will be warned first before being banned.

Realize that there are real people behind these words and act as you would in public. Anything you type is being broacasted on the web yknow...

I could'd but then I would have to ban myself. And then I would "mod bash" muself and have to ban myself again.

Read the FAQ section about "member rules/behaviour".

Basically, the following things are not tolerated here:
  • Sexually explicit or derogatory dialogue
  • Political diatribe (See announcements at the top of each forum)
  • Selling / promoting sales, e.g. linking to your own stuff on ebay.
  • Personal attacks
  • Moderator bashing

Like I said, Lock had a history, so it wasn't becuase of a single post. He loaded up the breach over time and, locked it in. The trigger was set... The rest is, shall we say, history.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I read the post in question and thought this will get Lock into a lot of trouble.

He should have known better.

Maybe, but now he has no right of reply I also happen to think it's not appropriate to bash him any more.

If we tell you then we risk getting banned too.. So in this case discretion is the better part of valour..
