Where to look up part numbers?

Hi, just wondering where I can look up part numbers for the RX-8?

I'm after the rear brake calliper pin (the black pin) and its bolt.

I already tried some online mazda parts store (including Trussville Mazda) but none of them seems to have this in their catalogue.

Thanks in advance!

just call your parts department. my local dealership is excellent for finding specific parts.

or look in the service manual pdf's you can find on the net. from what I have seen the clutch parts had the same numbers in .au and the us.

Thanks, just off the phone with my dealer's part department, and the parts I'm after is not available as a separate item, I need to buy the whole brake calliper! ridiculous! I might try find an rx-8 wreck (if any!!!) and get that part of the wreck. I've never ever in my life searched for a car wreck, anyone can give me a pointer where to look or whom to contact?

This is prob try to get to the workshop manual and see if they have a part number on that. It is a hard task just to find a bolt on the caliper from the dealer's list.

When you called, they prob think it will not be in the list they have and not trying to look it up for you. Typical people who work for a dealership.

Well it is not in the normal work shop manual. I guess it is time to take the other one and go to some bolt place to match it. I know of a place near ringwood that matches bolts and pins perfectly.

They actually faxed me the diagram and I pointed out the part (see attached, the pin where the bolt 26-048A goes into).

The bolt (26-048A) can be bought individually, but not the black pin
been around to Repco and ABS and they don't have it.

I believe the service centre overtighten it when they check my pads, as it was very hard to undo, and when I put it back again, the bolt won't go straight. Me & my friends suspect the thread inside the pin was damage

Thanks Andrew, I'll try that link you posted.
