I disagree with Skyline... gee we have the same taste. I used to have a WHITE DC2R before the RX-8.

You cannot beat the white car with red seat. WHITE is the colour of Type R is every one launched by Honda (no matter is civic, integra, or NSX) They are all WHITE --- see???

It is nice but kinna odd to have a Yellow or Blue Type R.... man I miss the car!

 

White was my 2nd preference (Also loved the red Recaros) and to be honest, had buyers regret a few months after I bought it. Believe a lot of it was to do with not finding good looking wheels. I then found the wheels, the regret passed and believed it was the colour for me... Like Michael, I loved the way the "Little yellow beast" stood out as it darted through the traffic.

I just sold it last night ...Ahh the memories

Glad you sold your car however to be honest with you your yellow honda type R , is way more photogenic than the SILVER RX8, and was possible the better car .

Sports cars should have a vibrant happy fun feel to them
IMOH this is lost with titanium and silver .

I do agree Michael, yellow seems to look much better in photos. But hey, If I want to look at my car, I'll stand in front of it rather than stare at a photo lol.

It depends on the yellow too- The Type R yellow is similar to a Ferrari yellow , Monaro yellow is similar to Hyundai yellow and here in Melb, RX8 yellow is too close to Cabbie yellow :p

Sorry couldn't help having a go... In the end, no matter what the colour, it's still an 8 and looks much better than most cars going round.

Choppy- The bastards have 3 BM's... 535, 2x 318's...

As an x Melbournian i know what you mean about those Yellow taxis , too f%^%^*& many around and also youre weather is **** .

However the Goldcoast has no yellow taxis only my rx8 ha ha ha

FWIW, my MX5 is a rare Malibu Gold colour (55 imported in 1992). These are the ONLY factory yellows in Australia.

Price premium is about $1000.

Car looks great all the time, but specially when surrounding by common-reds and boring dark colours!

Well my rx8 is yellow!!! To behonest... i love it in yellow. And yes it does attract alot of attention. Alot of people look and admire the car. I have the extension on the front bar and side skirts. I dont have the rear wing as i didnt like it.

Funny thing is when i went to sydney in it the amount of girls looking at it. What an ego boost. Some chick even flashed me in the middle of george st, lol.
