i'm planning to get at least 150k+ miles out of my still-original RENESIS motor (just to prove the naysayers that rotaries are unreliable lol), so yeah, at that mileage, i think resale is the least of my concerns lol

Nup - I've been there and he hasn't been there for ages.

I think sensible hatchback buying is just a risk for the over fifties...

Personally, I think this car as a second hand car will really only appeal to people who want it done up or to do it up, therefore the more sensible mods you have the more appealing your car will be. This is what bugs me so much with Mazda Australia's reluctance to bring out and support Mazdaspeed.
On the ball there "Auszoom"

A Mazda rotary powered anything will appeal to the "hot-em-up" brigade so as long as the mods are tasteful, they will help with re-sale

As for Mazda Australia..................... Bunch of ****-retards.

The only thing Mazda Australia can boast is matching Mazda USA + Japan support with the same level but in contempt. Its also a "culture" at Mazda Australia so dont expect change for many many years to come.

Ditto. Excellent info on the FD (and other models) too.

How anyone could read that and not want a Series-8 Type-RS is beyond me. Group buy anyone...

probably when i'm done with my 8 it won't be worth anywhere near what i payed for it so i'm not really concerned. I plan on driving it until it costs more then its worth tofix. It also looks like that the 8 has a long life span so it won't be a collectors item anytime soon.
