Reluctantly selling my beautiful Mazda RX8 as I am moving overseas and unfortunately can't take it with me. Therefore, looking for a quick sale!
This is the rare 40th anniversary edition of the RX8 which has the standard leather interior upgraded with alcantara inlay (the same stuff they use in Lamborghini's) so no more scolding hot leather on a hot day. Also includes sun roof, spoiler and various other factory upgrades. You also get optional auto-headlights which are truly a blessing and not common on RX8s.
This is such a sporty car and so much fun to drive thanks to perfect weight balance. The below photos aren't from years ago either, they were taken today, specifically for this listing! FYI: a kid in the park yelled out "hot car though" to his friend while I was taking the pictures
The car has been extremely well maintained and will serve you well!
Keep in mind that all RX8s will need an engine rebuild in approximately their first 150,000 kilometres of lifetime and then shouldn't require one again after that. This car has recently had the engine rebuilt (at a cost to me of $9200 AUD) so factor that cost in if you buy a different RX8 with lower mileage! You might be up for an unexpectedly large bill with another RX8 (but you won't here)!
Car has a manual transmission - which is what you want With an RX8 you really should be buying manual rather than auto, even if you need to learn it. In this case, it's actually true that "manuals go faster!" The manual RX8 revs up to a dizzying 9000 rpm when you put your foot down, but the automatic gear box can't handle that many revs (maxes out at 7500) and therefore has less horsepower. Long story short, just buy manual!
I've owned the car between 2010 and 2019, so practically one owner. Always serviced and run exclusively on 'BP Ultimate' fuel. Still looks almost new - check out the reflections on the car in the photos!
Questions welcome.
Only have limited time to sell the car so if you're interested don't delay as it will be gone.
