04s are running out... :(
Hey everyone, I've been checking up on this forum since umm i dunno about a year, but since its finally getting close to me buying an rx8 i decided to join the party. im just looking around some of the lots in vancouver, i could barely find any new 04 rx8s... i guess i waited to long lol. Anyways if some pop up, can someone please tell me wut kinda price im gonna be aiming for... And I know I can search it up, which I have but maybe they might drop after the new year? I wish i cud find either blue/black (pretty common as of the used/demo 04s) 6spd, gt. And from what I hear the lease incentives expire as of january... 4? I'm pretty young so I'm clueless when it comes to buying cars... the 8 just happens to be one of my favorite cars ive seen, and its in my parents budget :D

Since you are new, we won't yell at you for not using the search button. I will refer you to the following threads. There are more but these will probably be most helpful to you.
Look for my posts.

Here is the one with my invoice. I got a 04 GT w/o roof for 40.5K all in (taxes and all)
https://www.rx8club.com/canada-forum-35/price-toronto-42452/
Mind you that many Calgarians have gotten 8's for around what I got mine and I think two other fellows have gotten it for about 39K all in. I got mine in Oct and Rotten42 got his in August (?), so I would think that the dealers would be VERY willing to get rid of their stock. The dealers can do a search for the availability of the car at other dealerships across the nation.
Actually I was told by my dealer that they only use Silver, Titanium and Red as demos ... so blue/black are likely NOT test driven. Heck, my blue 8 had about 14km when I picked it up.
Oh and I hope you join the WINNING team (aka winning blue)

I got a 04 gt on lease from north hill in calgary couple of weeks ago and they still had 2 or 3 there then. Kramer had a black 6spd gs which they were trying *VERY HARD* to sell me ... and were willing to knock thousands off the price to do it. Not sure if it's still there, but a chance to pick up a real bargain if you push them a bit.

best is to call around to all the lower mainland dealerships and ask for yourself.
you'll quickly learn that most car salesman are bastards, but don't let that throw you off and don't let them push you around! it's probably better to go to a dealership in person, get a quote and start getting other dealers to try and beat it.
i don't think anyone's paid above MSRP for it, so you shouldn't have to either.
there should still be stock left in the 604 - especially if you're willing to drive further away from vancouver.
good luck.

MSRP is whatever you see on the mazda canada website. I seem to recall for the 04s it was 40K for a basic GT and I think 37 for a GS.
I don't know about lease rates but for financing I got 2.5%, but the usual is 5% (?)

It can be long in January. Those big rocks with white on top get in the way. But normally you can do it in a day or a day and a bit.

Are you not listening? Did you even take a look at the links provided? The one with MY INVOICE??? Why are you so concerned about getting the 8 for MSRP?? Are you afraid they WON'T give you MSRP?? The only people that paid MSRP are the people who pre-ordered it.
Like we have mentioned earlier ... MANY MEMBERS HAVE GOTTEN 8's FOR 39-41K ALL IN. This is including taxes and freight and all that happy stuff. Yes ... all in. That means I wrote a cheque for 40.5K and they gave me an RX8. Period. Given BC has sales tax,so you will pay a bit more (ie 42ish).
Yes 2.9% lease rate is correct.
Don't be stupid and get tricked into paying MSRP for a 04. If you are, then you don't know how to walk away from a BAD deal. I'll make it easy... you print off my invoice, slap it on the dealers desk and say ... "Gimme".
