2008 F1 Grand Prix of Canada
My wife and I are crossing the boarder for the first time in June for the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. I haven't seen much talk about it so I figured I'd see if anyone else was planning on going. Any chance of a gathering of forum members at the track? Elsewhere?
We'll actually be staying at Lake Champlain for the most part but we'll be staying in town on Saturday and Sunday nights. Aside from the race, is there anything that's a must do while we're in town? Anyone have any idea where would be the best place to hang out and meet the drivers? Best place to hang out period? We have several signatures we need to get to fill up our program from last years USGP but we have no idea where to go or when. We're just looking to have a really good time so any help you guys can give would be fantastic.
GO BMW-SAUBER!!

I'll probably attend with a few friends... gotta buy my tickets soon.
You want to hit Crescent street on Saturday night, the whole street is closed and a gazillion people gather there to party. There's usually a lot of cars on display, booths where you can enter competitions like "fastest time to change a wheel on an actual race car", live music shows on a stage setup right in the middle of the street...
Be prepared, there's A LOT of people so it gets pretty crazy for basic stuff like catching a cab, finding a place to sit and eat, even getting a beer can be a challenge since there's so many people.
