Aftermarket accessories and tint - GTA
I'm told that most of the accessories that are available through the dealer you can get aftermarket for a fraction of a cost. I'm interested in the fuel filler door. Anyone know where I can get it within GTA?
Also, what tint are you guys using, metallic or ceramic. Also, a good dealer and pricing within GTA, preferably Mississauga, would be appreciated.
On the tint install, do you have a gap between the top of the glass or is it all the way to the edge?
Thanks.

As for the fule door goes... I've never seen that accessory aftermarket..sorry
I know it sounds corny but I have always delt with Tint King for all of my tinting needs. They are good and reputible. their Mississauga location is at Mavis and Burnhamthourpe (I beleive). I dont want to generalize but in most cases, they do not take the tint all the way to the edge of the glass (and donno why). Metallic or Ceramic.... I dont have a clue

Guys, they don't tint the top edge of the glass because tint is applied with the windows up, so there is full coverage of the seeable area. That portion is up in the weather stripping most of the time. The Tint would just wear off up there anyways constantly going up and down through the stripping.

Thanks Helas. I'm thinking between Tint King and Tint Master. I think Tint Master brings the tint very close to the top. Will have to speak to them. I don't think they offer ceramic tint though.
Metallic is supposed to be one of the best. But it can interfere with some electronics. Not sure if that is a concern for Sirus radio and radio reception. Ceramic is supposed to address those short coming, while offering even higher heat rejection. I've heard it is pretty expensive though. Tint King is supposed to offer them.

Not sure why it's not an option through the factory, where the put the tint between two layers of glass like they do on SUVs.
