AJAX MAZDA - Bunch of Clowns!

i too have thought of this...considering how i had two vehicle inspection reports performed, al you may remember the overcharge in the first one where they were charging me 50% more for the alloy rims when compared to the retail price through your parts department - I asked for clarification on this issue and was told that AUTOVIN sets this pricing...how this is even possible is beyond me, a third party company hired to perform auto inspections on behalf of Mazda, sets their own pricing???? hmmm... the second inspection was performed after dropping the vehicle off and now i see charges to refinish the front bumper cover of $132 that were not included in the first report...the saga continues..

Any opinions on Whitby Mazda since I am close to them? Let me know if I take my car there ... should I remove my plates first? Just sarcasm, but I would appreciate some input about them ... anyone can PM me so as not to derail this thread.

Ok guys..here is the update....please find below a copy of the email that I had to send....and let me express my complete displeasure and disgust in the way this entire situation is being handled.
I am hereby starting an "OFFICIAL PETITION" and asking for all your help in this matter. Please find below the email address of the GM at Ajax Mazda. Please send him a quick note expressing your thoughts. If we stand collectively united and voice our concerns on these types of issues, we can prevent situations such as these from happening in the future! Thanks Guys! Please pardon the tone in some fragments of my email, but clearly he set the guidelines of how he would like this issue to be handled!
Email: bradley.rawlinson@ajaxmazda.com
This is my email documenting the entire saga!
Brad,
It doesn’t surprise me that you would take the stance that you have. Denying all responsibility and any wrong doing might work with some customers but definitely not me. You can’t even give me a straight answer as to who took off my plates? You mentioned that you “THINK” it was the leasing company?
When we spoke initially, I called you immediately after picking them up to express my concerns, you mentioned that perhaps you SHOULD HAVE informed me that there could be some potential damage and received my permission, now you deny ever saying this?
When I confronted Gary about the state of the plates, his response was, “that it was the only way they would come off”, which leads me to believe that you’re responsible. He could have immediately told me that it was the leasing company then naturally I would be bringing up this issue with them and not you. It’s very apparent that you will say anything plausible to get out of a situation. Your constant run-around, lies and deceit, not to mention your entire attitude towards resolving this issue is extremely unprofessional and speaks volumes about your establishment and the people that work there.
Do they send you to school and teach you how to be SCUM at Mazda, because you’re definitely good at your job! Do you typically insult your customers by asking them if they’re looking for 20 bucks, without knowing the proper facts? Even if my plates did cost $20 dollars, if you damage them you should have the decency to replace them. It’s a matter of principle, none of which you seem to have.
I will definitely be bringing up this matter with your DM and filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau! I will also take every route imaginable to outline my experiences with your particular dealership and voice them through the various channels to the general public. Hopefully this will prevent any future customers from being taken advantage of by SCUM like you. If my demands for a proper, fair and just resolution are not met within the next 48 hours, you leave me no choice but to name your establishment, Mazda Canada and AutoVIN as co-defendants in my lawsuit. Someone will be held accountable for the damages done to my plates and I will end up getting my money back one way or another. The ball is in your court, this is your opportunity to stand up and demonstrate some common sense and core values that you may or may not possess!

Scoot RX-8 - just go to scarb mazda, save any kind of concerns!
Xibit wow man! Only two real comments....one NEVER get insulting in an email, it doesn't solve or help this situation and if shown in court, hurts your character.
Two...NEVER say demands!! haha...sounds like blackmail, which again wouldn't look good in court.
What would you really like us (rx8club) ppl to write to Brad? That we know all about this, and don't agree with his actions? U have hurt his business MORE than the cost of some plates would have cost to replace. Anyone that has been on here and does some searching knows not to go there via other posts and now this one. All u can do now is wait for a response. You can even inform him this whole situation is being posted on here. I did when I went thru my crap with them.

If i had received an ounce of respect , or any sort of apology - verbal or implied, or any indication that they felt somewhat responsible and were willing to resolve this matter amicably, i wouldn't be here! This GM is acting like the little kid that got caught in the cookie jar, pointing his finger at everyone else and lying to cover his ***! Then decides he can also get abusive and insulting! IMO, seems as though someone needs a refresher course on how to deal with customers!
As for the email...don't need to say much...a simple forward of this link will suffice, I just don't want to give him the pleasure, but i'm sure he will find out one way or another...I've already sent a link to the DM..
Just out of curiousity, what were your issues with Ajax?
ScootRx-8..I second thumper...Scarborough Mazda ..save yourself alot of grief...there is a reason all the guys here love Scarborough, here is perfect example, Al offered to discuss this matter with me...this issue occurred at another dealership yet he was willing to offer insight, this is exactly the type of service you'll receive, people that are willing to go above and beyond what's required to ensure satisfaction, this type of mentality starts at the top and is funneled down to the various departments.
If the GM is a crook and liar, naturally ..well you get the idea! FYI, ..I did a search on the BBB for Ajax Mazda, and it appears that someone has filed a complaint regarding billing errors, unauthorized charges or questionable collection practices
http://www.bbb.org/kitchener/busines...jax-on-1134515
this is what else my research has yielded...
GYRO MAZDA... 2 complaints..refund or exchange issues, service issues
MAZDA OF TORONTO ..2 complaints..product issues, service issues
DOWNTOWN MAZDA... 1 complaint..advertising issues
SCARBOROUGH MAZDA..0 complaints....

You have defiantly been wronged, however using words like SCUM in an official letter is not conducive to getting a resolution and furthermore hurts your stance with respect to any kind of a small claims matter.

I've always found that if i'm really pissed off and i'm going to send an email about it, i wright it out and save it. Then the next day i can reread it and take out the really bad **** i wrote.
..
Always always stay polite but firm on an email, swearing gets you nowhere.

I did...my first one was direct, polite and to the point...this is the second one that i sent after I didn't get a reply to my original email and had to chase him down for a resolution. When I asked him if he received my original email, he acknowledged that he did but then had the nerve to ask me if I'm looking for 20 bucks...didn't appreciate his sassiness. He then proceeded to give me the runaround, and started playing his sales games denying that they took the plates off, .and then denying that he made the original comment of getting permission to take them off...as you can see, there is only so much you can take!

I too had an 01 GSR and an 02 RSX - S, in my 5 years dealing with acura, i had one minor warranty repair item, and just did my regular maintainance. Absolutely no head aches. Just to let you know the type of quality service i would get, i would call a day in advance to set up and oil change and they would have a spare vehicle for me to use - if i needed one, most of the times i would grab it and leave my car there for the entire day, i would show up at 9 PM on a friday and they'd do my oil change on the spot, that's when they were open till 11 on fridays..now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Wow - nice email. Kinda harsh though.
I hear stories like these and thats all the more reason why I always go to the Mazda dealership where my dad works. Even though he gets briefed on how hard the car is being driven and all the other little things that no1 but me needs to be aware of, it is worth it at the end cuz my dad stays on top.
All the best!
