Alberta RX-8 Sightings

Sounds good to me. I'm definately going to check out Secret Street too. Should I start going AFTER I get my RX-8 or would it be stupid to go the the place in my Corolla ... lol

nothing wrong with going there in a corolla spectating. SS is only 5 bucks to watch, 25 to race. Once in a blue moon there's autocross setup in the oval as well. But that only happened once last year.

Autocross sounds like it'd be fun, but not so sure about drag racing though...lol...=*[

drag is boring cuz our car is slow as ****, not to mention high elevation in calgary makes our car put down like 130whp if that.... i think I ran a 16.1 last year trapping something ridiculously low... lol
Autocross or full lapping days are the way to go.

I always see a WB with Mazdaspeed rims and spoiler over on 24th Ave S just off Scenic Drive by the Canadian Tire in Lethbridge. Looks like the owner works on a construction crew building the apartments over there.
Not that anyone but rubberduckie would know what I'm talking about.
As for meets, I be up for something this spring/summer. I was thinking about checking out Secret Street this year.

Hey guys...yeah I am still around...just haven't posting for the last while...I am in the NW (Hampton's Link) these days. I'd be up for a meet...to the noobs, it is still a great car, I'd won't swap it....although a baby made me reconsider!!! However, as my 8 can accommodate a toddler seat...she stays!!! Zoom-zoom!

Oh and can a MOD change the thread title from "Alberta" to "Calgary" so that more people check this thread out? Thanks!

Damnit was hoping someone would have spotted me.. been driving mine non-stop for the weekend!!
Im down for a meet but I've moved to Edmonton last year... I still frequent Calgary alot though, so if the meets falls one of those weekends, count me in.

Well as far as planning a meet goes, I have no idea how to plan it or even where to plan it so if one of the vets can tell me about a meet they had before I can start setting em up myself.

I've been seeing a lot more RX8s now that the snow seems to be gone. I saw a black one on the Yellowhead going east this afternoon. I think most of the Edmonton owners are not members here.

Is that the SS with the one outlet exhaust? I haven't seen that one for a while. I always see a BB on 2 ave north (i think) just down the road from Canbra Foods and Maple Leaf Foods. Is that yours?

That BB probably wasn't me, though, I did see a BB last night on 2 ave which is probably the one you're talking about. I think it just has the base body package (no areos) and none of the windows are tinted.
