Congrats again on the car Footman.
As for the tire repair kit, all the previous models had them.
About the bucking when slowing down, it is normal BUT with practice you will be able to drive around in low gear without it happening. The trick is to never let you foot off the gas completely (not sure if that's what you're doing), always have a little throttle going. It's very sensitive and only needs the slightest twitching of your calf muscles to adjust or maintain a certain speed. Only when you need to stop, then push the clutch in as qtwre says before it starts to buck. When I first got my car, I went to a nine-story parking garage and just practiced going up and down in first gear, trying to smoothly keep a (garage-safe) speed without using the brakes or pushing in the clutch. Took a while, but it's a great way to force yourself to learn the calf control needed.

yes I let out the clutch, and gas completely.. the car coasts at 7kph in 1st gear.. but with no gas, and no clutch, it hesitates and hiccups (jerks the car back and forth slightly), but it isn't stalling...
I let go of the gas in any gear to let it cruise.. i.e. 2nd gear = 13kph, and yes it rolls along at 13kph, but it does the jerking thing again..
So you're saying this is absolutely NORMAL? which means I can't really coast in that gear comfortably then... this car is just DOES NOT like low speeds

The boxes in the trunk contained the 4-OEM rims.

You shouldn't really be focusing so much on letting it coast at idle in 1st and 2nd at this point. I mean, who drives like that?! Just get the basics down smoothly and the rest will follow. You have to remember that with the clutch engaged, the engine is connect directly to the wheels. In 1st gear if you aren't completely smooth it's going to start jerking. You been pampered by the automatic transmission.

I do often have to creep forward a little bit travelling at those speeds in those sections.
BTW people... today is my FIRST drive to work in rush hour traffic, and I survived without stalling (even with the jam at Hwy 7/Bayview, cause of some accident). !!!

Even still, you can easily get away with simply disengaging the clutch when the car in front of you is slowing down. It definitely takes some finessing to do rush hour smoothly.

I find that if you let off the gas completely in first/second gear, you can coast. Mind you it jerks once or twice but then after the car just rolls along.

wow, I just spent 3 hours last night doing my:
1) wash
2) clay bar
3) wash again
4) NXT tech wax
5) interior meguairs wipe
6) windows
So mega tired, but so beautiful too. I found out my car was manufactured on Dec 2006, and had been sitting in the lot for the past 9 months. You won't believe the amount of stuff the clay bar picked up!!! It was unbelieavably dirty for a brand new car. So many sediments and fine particles that washing doesn't remove.
Someone here recommended to me to do the clay bar first thing when I get the car. I'm glad for that advice. Thanks!
