^^^^ wow from a misfire to dumping the car .... talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Dude give us the links for these threads that indicate car is KO'd with a P0302

I've had P0302 and I bet most other owners have as well.

Its just a misfire .... if you're that worried about it get a compression test done.

Let's not go and do anything rash here

So I was at the dealership today getting my front right upper control arm ball joing replaced, and I asked them to do the compression test. The have seen how much money I have spent on the car in the past few weeks, so they are going to do the compression test free of charge on Wednesday morning. But still if anyone can stll help me out on some ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

I know what its like to have the ride almost done, and then she throws a curve ball at you.
This is all part of the game. The ride will always let you know how she feels if something is up.
Or if you've been stressing her a bit.

The amount of time and effort I've thrown into the FD is insane. But the car delivers what I ask of it all the time. So its a give and take situation.

There was a trend at one point. Guys who had RX-7's were either single, or soon to be single. Can't have a Significant Other and an RX-7. Its either one or the other.

Over the years its gotten better. But I've also noticed we don't drive as much as we use too. So you can see something got put on the back burner.

I think you're throwing things out of proportion. The car is fine. Just do the standard maintenance and don't worry about it.

consider this a warning then- for insulting other members with that fellatio expert comment.

4. Personal attacks against other forum members will not be tolerated, nor will any type of "trolling" for a fight. This includes political attacks, slurs, or sneering at any viewpoint or political party.

5. No racist, homophobic, or misogynistic remarks, including derogatory slang, be it overt or covert, will be tolerated.

and as he pointed out very nicely to the OP

15. We do not have a street racing or "kills" forum on this site, and threads or posts about street racing will not be tolerated. These types of posts inevitably turn into flamewars, which nobody wins. Also, any forum member caught trolling and intentionally instigating a flame war on any other auto enthusiast forum gets an immediate 1-week ban; protesting this action results in a permanent ban.

Agree with WCS, post up the thread that talks about P0302 that will eventually KO RX-8.... Most of the RX-8 owners have this P0302 issue before, I had it myself as well.....
It's just a misfire, you don't have to dump your 8 cuz of that. You are doing the compression test on Wed, see how it goes, you are over-worrying, I think~

I had this code too. Coils/plugs took care of it. Actually just cleaning the plugs off with a wire brush made it go away. But I replaced them anyway. Did you replace the plug wires when you did coils and plugs?

Besides the fact that he used poor judgment in the way he replied to you, your statement is difficult to read. You don't need to be an English teacher to recognize that.

Oh noes....we have some internet tough guy here.

schnipster, your post is difficult to read, ESL or not.

And just to let you know once AGAIN, we do not condone street racing in public forum.

We had members in the Canadian forum getting caught already even when they are not street racing. Posts like these will only make it easier for the cops to abuse their power. They DO monitor car forums mind you.

The mods are doing their job VOLUNTARILY. Street racing is a big no no in this forum. The OP is young, naive, and sometimes ignorant about his car. The racing part is bad because that act endangers the driving public.

Also, letting him keep doing his ``thing`` may led to death on the street. Just read this story about the young M5 owner.

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...0-crash-5-dead)

The M5 board learned their lessons and its much harsher on the kid from Toronto this year:
http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/arti...about-speeding

http://forums.5series.net/topic/9549...-on-a-40-zone/
http://forums.5series.net/topic/1024...-is-suspended/

And yes, a cop post online after reading it and got the kid.

Moreover, since you don`t contribute to the forum other than drama, you are welcome to GTFO anytime.

And yes, F stands for F. C. U. K.

I had the same problem just this morning. My engine light is on and when I accelarated quickly the engine light blinked for about 5-10 sec. I have no idea what this means. I would also like some answers.

I would recommend you read these three threads. At least the first few posts.

Then go get the code read.
A lot of places will read it for free, find one.

Once you do get the code read, then let us know what it is(even though we can guess).
We also need your year, mileage, maintenance history, auto/manual, etc.
It's hard flying blind!

I didnt get to pick up the car, my dad did. They didnt give him any test results, but he left in a voicemail that the motor passed. They did all the resets possible, and that KAN reset. They took it for 3 drives, they say they took it to 7000+rpm and the light didnt come flashing. Does the dealer give you a copy of the compression test performed? I havent taken the car to high rpms myself yet, drove it to school for the first time this morning.

Yes, they have to give your results. Have you cleaned your MAF and ESS lately, and are you running premium fuel on a regular basis?
