See sig for what I'm driving. So far I've seen one Ti on the road (Gord?), one stock Blue which was the dealers at Sunridge Mazda, and a stock red in a parking lot at Earl's on 32nd NE.
I drive from SW to NE every day on Deerfoot and haven't seen any others there since October.

I know there is another Red GT on the road with my layout -- except he has the rear spoiler. I don't.
What part of the city are you in Bark?
Also, I just saw a Blue 8 on Heritage today

I'm in Silver Springs, and don't get over to Deerfoot or east very often.
A get-together would be a great idea! We mentioned this in a separate thread a while back - some of the Edmonton people would be interested too. Maybe later in April, when the weather is likely a bit better?
It's still very rare for me to see an 8 on the roads here - about 3 weeks ago, I saw 3 the same day! (2 downtown), but none since then.
Regards,
Gordon

Hey, did you guys put on your summers yet?
I don't know if I can wait any longer...
Anyway, I have a pretty crazy work schedule til October but it would definitely be fun to see the Alta 8s parked together somewhere. The only car meets I've been at were in Winterpeg (Wawanesa Insurance parking lot!). Where do car guys get together in this town?

Hey all! I don't have my 8 yet, but I'll be picking it up in Edmonton in mid-April. The car is in the dealer's garage now waiting patiently for me to drive her home. The car is a lightning yellow RX-8 GT with some add ons like moonroof, spoiler, front air dam, mud guards (front), underdeflectors, rear underdeflectors and of course, window tinting and oh yeah, the clear bra.
A get together in April will be nice.
Cheers.

I would definitely love to help organize a meet, if anyone's interested (even tho I drive a fugly station wagon right now since I'm still in University), possibly for later summer when the really stinking hot parts are over with? I know a few good routes such as The Highwood Pass (very scenic mountain roads) as well as a nice backroads route that I would need to scout out again because of all the roadwork that's been done in the past few years, but that does include a good amount of 2-4 kilometer long straights that the police rarely visit as well as a few good twisties. These routes are Calgary based, however.
I have organized and run 2 meets to date: The Calgary Cobras 2002 "Mega-Drive" (seeing as 7 cobras was the largest group of Shelby Cobra replica cars meeting that these guys had had) on the backroads route as well as a mixed RX-7/Cobra meet that did the Highwood pass.
If you're interested, I could start doing some recon for the group, finding some routes, etc etc etc. ^^)

I've been heading down to the SW corner of the province the last few weekends, and 762, 533 and #22 south have been in great shape.
To "iamcanadian" - were you parked at the Riverside Club a few weekends ago?
Cheers

I've got an order in for a titanium grey RX-8 GT (anxiously awaiting its arrival) and thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'd be interested in showing up for a meet if one gets set up.

Hi All. I am in Edmonton but more importantly, I have a red8 and would be interested in a meet as well. Just joined this club when i stumbled on to it while searching for spoiler suitable for the rx8. I have a GT velocity red, 2 tone interior. crests on front and back. Anyone replaced their stock rims or installed aftermarket spoiler up in here???

MrRX8 - you are in Edmonton? I read a post of yours about buying the car for $29k....that would be US dollars, ours cost $40k.....so are you sure it's Edmonton AB?
MrRX8 shopping dealers for under $30k........

That is someone else because I got mine from jarman mazda and didn't have any problems, so I am defintely from Edmonton AB. However it is interesting when I signed up for the club, it didn't tell me that this username was already taken. Unless if the other mrRX8 registered after me and he inherited my post.
