Any London Rx8'ers out there?
Got rid of my RSX type S at the end of last summer and picked up a nice 04 RX8 GT with low KMs. Thrilled to finally own this car and was wondering if theres alot of other RX8 owners out there in the London area? Not sure if anyone organizes any meets in any parking lots but im sure someone does.
Hoping to maybe toss a bit of money at the car when its warm out again in another month or so. I've been educating myself on the rotery engine but it would be great to get out this spring and meet a few RX8 lovers who could fill me in on more info because theres alot im sure i need to learn.
I've kept it in the garage for the last couple months and bought some new spark plugs along with new ignition wires. Can't wait to get back on the road!

Thanks! These forums have been a huge help already and I've only been on them a week or so. Really hoping to get a chance to talk with some fellow Londoners sometime this spring/summer!

It's so cold the one morning i went to start it to move it into the garage and the engine didnt turn over and I eneded up flooding the engine. Had to deflood it last week. Thanks to this forum the process was very simple to a certain degree.
Got another friend who owns a red 05 rx8, if your interested we are going to try to get some more london RX8'ers to meet up when the snow melts and the weather gets a little better. I always enjoy meeting other Rx8 owners, theres always something new to learn about these great cars from people!

yeah same here, i dont mind meeting up once the good weather comes, Its always a good way to learn about the car
I know with the starter that came with my car was a N3H1 and it cranked terribly slow and that was before the cold weather came, i changed it out to a N3Z1 before it got really cold and it cranks like twice as fast as before and still crank really fast on the coldest mornings we had -27c
your lucky you got a garage! im about to go out in the cold and change my thermostat, I hope its as easy as the DIY shows.

There's a few rx8s here in Aylmer too, but I've never actually talked to any of them. A couple years ago someone on here started a mini meet with some of the rx7 guys there were only two of us rx8s that showed up. It could be kinda fun to get a bunch of local rx8s together in the good weather

Ya I'm totaly game to get a mini meet going sometime soon when the weather warms up and this awful snow goes away. I'm sure we could get a bunch of local Rx8 owners interested.

If nothing else, hopefully we can convince you guys to come to Toronto for some meets, at least the seasonal ones. They're super-fun, really! Alternatively, in the summer you can usually count on a Friday meet happening, somewhere in the GTA, we were pretty consistent last summer.
I know it's a bit of a trek, but once in awhile we pull off some beauty meets.

I would be for sure. Just got to make sure I don't have to work but most likely can make it.
Been seeing alot of other Rx8s driving around London the last few days since i got mine back out on the road. Saw another black one on Wellington road tuesday and a blue one on Western road pulling into the 711 later that day.

I frequently see a red one driving on Oxford Street. I drove beside another Copper Red on Richmond on Monday morning. There's a grey S2 which I see periodically see in my work parking lot downtown. I often see one parked on the side of Richmond north of the park.

Anyone interested in an AutoX tomorrow? Looks like a great venue. I'll be there.

HI to all the London and area RX8's. Chatham Mazda on Richmond St. in Chatham is hosting their second annual Show and Shine on Sat. June 14. Registration begins at 10. There will be a BBQ and detailing info by Zaino. Trophies will be awarded around 1 pm and winners will be determined by attendee ballot.
After the long winter, we're hoping for a bright, sunny day. Hope to see you there.
