I'm pumped I came acrost this! Sunlight silver GT with Greddy exhaust in Halifax. Gotta put her away soon Any meets would be awesome! Car is currently at mazda dealer for spark plugs...Wish I had known about an alternative around here. What a scam they are! Lets figure out a meet before the snow and salt are here!

You are paying the dealership to do plugs? Really? Wow. It's really not that hard.
I did plugs/wires/coils on my car in a couple of hours, and it only took that long because I was just kind of puttering around in the garage.
I'd kind of forgot about this thread. Had more than a few project weekends over the summer (swapped engines in a friends 84 GSL-SE, swapped engines in my race car etc.) but kind of forgot to mention anything about it here.
And yes, the 8 might be fun in the snow, but I wouldn't do that to my car. They seem to be too prone to rust in the quarters.

Sackville here. 2005 GT Red.
Are there any good engine builders here.
I'm looking to go turbo soon but want a rebuild first.
I'm new to rotary and have no clue how to build one or I would do it myself.

Honestly, there aren't really any engine builders in Atlantic Canada at all, never mind "good." We mostly end up doing it our selves.
But, one rotary enthusiast friend of mine who has his own business ( Scotia Tint and Audio - Home ) is planning to branch out into doing rotary builds. Long time enthusiast with the technical background to be able to do it. (Former RAF aircraft technician). Might be worth talking to.

Thanks
I checked with Mazda in Dartmouth. They basically said the same thing. As soon as I mentioned larger apex seals and a performance build they said good luck finding someone. They mentioned some guy in Ontario but I would have to ship the engine there and back. I would rather find someone closer so I can watch/supervise the build.

Drop in and talk to Charlie whenever you are in the area again. Great guy and easy to talk to.
Currently building a ported motor for his FD. (Using some of my tools to do it as well.)
He's got the tear-down of his REW on his Youtube channel if you have some time to fill.
