Ok I have a question for my neigbours, are any of you guys that have the AP know how to use AccessTuner and would be willing to provide me with a basic tune? I just can't cash out for an AP of my own right now, and I am tired of the exhaust smelling so bad and getting worse gas mileage. So any help will be very much appreciated, or any suggestions for that matter! Beer on me, of course

AP's are locked in to each cars VIN #.

Meaning they can only be used on the car they where sold for. No sharing.

Didn't know you had an exhaust. I thought Exoticspeed exhaust were mad loud when it came with the midpipe. Btw, I have yet to see your car man, btw did you notice a big increase without the cat and the exhaust?

The right term is married. You don't have to register your car to Cobb anytime. When you first get your AP you marry it with you car and then if you want to sell either your car or your AP you can unmarry it.

I guess that if both person have AP then they could share they maps if they tuned with the street tuner software. I don't think those maps are locked and if so it's only a matter of copying cells values to the second car.

Having said that, I have the AP and already changed some part of the tune like the rev limit when its cold or orther simple things like that but I wouldn't dare changing the ingnition or fuel maps. I would prefer let someone who knows what he's doint instead of screwing up with this and maybe hurt the engine.

I'm planning on buying the RB header and resonated midpipe this summer, so I night ask Mazdamaniac for some help with this. I think thats the safest route and it cost only 300USD.

Yeah its pretty loud, but i like it, the flames are nice i did notice a slight increase in power but like i said i really need a tune then the gains from it could be bigger, I also am running on finished winter tires...

but you're more then welcome to pass by and check it out if you like, I am getting the car from the shop today (had a bit of a fender bender), although I have yet to install some of the mods you see in my sig, just waiting for warmer weather.

btw those wheels look pretty cool.

Yea well going the mm route is definately the best way to go, and its the route I would go, just don't have the means to do so right now, I was also thinking of doing the RB flash as more costly alternative, but now with the exchange rate it comes out to like 400, which is quite a bit considering you're just getting a flash and no ems.

Yeah, the guy who had this car before me put cx-7 rims on for winter and plus I have the stock rx8 rims... gives a different look to it too.

Hey Guys, I've just put out my car out of the garage for the first time yesterday. I almost forgot how fun to drive this car is.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a quick meet soon. I have few things to show off from this winter installation. Mazdaspeed body kit, Sohn OMP and would be interested to see anyone with a midpipe and/or header. I've already seen someone with the midpipe but it was with a turbo so it's not exactly the same.

If we can be more than 4 that would be really interresting, ideally for me it would be on the south shore, preferably Quartier Dix30 (lot of space).

We could also meet with the ClubRxQuebec, I'm not sure where they meet up, probably still at the KK in Carefour Laval.

Cheers

For most of us in that area, french is our first language too. Don't forget, we are there to share not just to shine so stock cars are welcome for sure.

i am down, I need to take care of my wheels first tho, one of mine is bent, I am getting a replacement wheel this weekend, and probably going to paint or powdercoat them black, since the new wheel wont match the shinka finish on the other :-(

this winter wasn't good to me

Hey Guys.

FYI, we (ClubRXQuebec) don’t meet at the KrispyKream in Carrefour Laval anymore. Last summer we moved the location to the Boston Pizza in the Smart Centre off Autoroute 19 and the 440 in Laval. . . . but after some discussions over the winter, our meets will now be held at the Méga-Centre Ste-Dorothée of Autoroute 13 in Laval. It’s accessible via the Samson Blvd. or Notre-Dame Blvd. exits. We’ll be next to the Tommy Hilfiger outlet.

Eric (aka: MontrealRocketeer) who posts here, will be there with his blue 2005 Mazsport turbocharged RX-8. . . . more often . . . . . job permitting . . . YOU PROMISED ERIC !!!! Jeff (don’t know if he posts here) also was by with his 8.

Anyway . . . all you rotorheads are welcome to come by. The meets haven’t officially begun yet (probably end of April / beginning of May) . . . but they will be held every Friday night . . .. all summer long . . . . until the white **** starts coming down again.

Hope to see you all.

Hey pgrothe, I'd definitely be curious to check out your COB Access port and how it works!

What I'll do is probably organize a small meet at Dix30 near the Sport Expert on next Thursday around 8PM. Then when the ClubRXQuebec start to meet I suggest that we join them at their usual place.

I think that it's easy to say that we should be able to have at least 4-6 rx8 on next Thursday. If it's raining we can also go in the underground parking. For those who are cafeinoman, there is a TimHorton not to far from the SportExpert.

I just hope I will have time to clean it and wax it.

Please fill this list if you wish come next Thursday.
1. Pgrothe 2005 RX8 GT MT Velocity Red

So far we are three, I will still be there anyway.

I might have time to install the rear Mazdaspeed bumper before the meet so I will have the full Mazdaspeed body kit to show.

I'll try to be there. I live in Lasalle so it's only like a 20 minute drive to dix30. I've had my 8 for almost a month now. It's a 2007 RX8 GT MT Crystal White Pearl with appearance package and MS CAI... oh and I got my JDM clear corners in the mail today which will hopefully be installed before thursday.
