dont know for sure. it will depend alot on price when its time. Im very fond of the racing beat exhaust, and not many people in this area have it (i havent seen one personally yet) so the fact that its different is also attractive. the price is pretty fair, and RB has such a great report with rotarys. Also, ill be ordering a racing beat exhaust for my FB rx7, so i may as well get them both from at the same time from the same place.

I am also fond of the magnaflow. the car that tipped the scales for me and made me actually get my rx8 had a magnaflow and it sounded and look fantastic. The price is a little much though for what it is.

Third option would be the exotic speed T1. that thing is a peice of art, but the size of the tips makes me not want to go that route, and i've also heard that its pretty loud.

RB think would be good, others would be to loud (for me anyhow). I like the MS cause at cruising speeds around 3500rpm it's quiet, I'm so past the loudness annoying hum...but that's just me and I'm getting old

i never even thought about US cash. how much did you bring? I dont think i'll be buying anything over the border accept lunch and dinner anyways and im too poor to gamble so....40 bucks US? I hope that covers me.

BTW, the magnaflow isnt too loud at all man. thats why i like it. When you start the car up, theres a little rumble, and then it settles down and is quiet until you really feed it.

Question, is it one those mods the 8's lose rather then gain any performance?, im alil scared to what to get and what to avoid when modding now since the 8 doesnt work well with some mods, alil off topic sorry about that

man, dont worry so much about power or any of that on the rx8. there isnt much to gain at all. exhaust and intake mods are for sound, unless you are doing a full exhaust. but without a turbo you arent making big power with these cars anyways, so why care about a few horsepower either way?

You probably would only have to worry about wheel weight. Other than that, Mazda OEM stuff works basically just as well as everyone else.

thats true, but thats alot of money to pay for abuot a 5% increase in power. just face it, theres cars arent the fastest cars in the world and wont be. spending every spare dime to gain a few HP in hopes of keeping up with a Z car just isnt worth it. Spend money on things that make it handle, sound, and look better. In all three departments we are top of the pile to begin with.

anyways, 3 days! woot!

I hear you Greg, but I can honestly say the extra 25 whp I have obtained through mods makes a big difference. Expensive yes, but worth it to me...

alright, ill give you that. and if/when you do the 4.777 final, im sure it will make an even bigger difference....its just not the car to buy if you want to make power easily. I think the car is more about the driving experience than bragging rights and burnouts. It has to be. lol

and rx8thunder, maybe you can take me for a spin when i drop off the wheel at your place after the cruise to see the difference it makes, im curious now. I've never driven/been in an 8 with a suposed 25 extra whp. that seems like it would be a bigger difference than 10-15 bhp.
