Hey, just an FYI that I managed to find FL22 coolant sold at the Port Moody Mazda. It's quite tough to find. Another Mazda didn't even know it exists! Mixing non-FL22 coolant to your late model rx-8 will cause the original FL22 to lose its capabilities. See manual.

Look up coolant in your manual. I believe around 05 or 06, Mazda started using these extended life FL22 coolant for their rx-8 and mx-5. alot of local dealerships in north america still carries the regular stuff. But they are not FL22. If they "kind heartedly" added these infidel coolants to the fl22, its extended life properties will be lost. FL22 is rated to last 120mths.
I bought a 4L yesterday to keep it topped up to avoid any "kind hearted" technician adding el cheapo off-the shelf stuff.

Ahhh...gotcha...

would you really not change the coolant for the entire life of the car?

sounds sorta like the "oil change free" oil that bmw use...
