We're trying to get a place with a hoist... StefYVR is trying to set us up with something. So location is still to be decided.

In terms of tools and parts, please bring everything you can.

And remember to dress to work!

OMG BCRX8 members have been busy posting pretty much dominating the Canadian forum and have had dozens threads with hundreds of posts, where have you been? Well now that you know, spread the word.

We just formed BCRX8 up in spring so we haven't had a chance to make it out to autoX events yet. Next season for sure though.

Unhappy Fix my door?

I would like to propose we tear apart my drivers door, and figure out how to remove the disarm function from the door lock mechanism.

I got my door, and I'll risk my warranty. I want my car to have a chance next time.

that sounds like a good project for another workshop in itself. Maybe we should wait a bit on that one to make sure we know what we are doing. Non of us have attempted this before so I'm guessing that it would take up a lot of time. Once we know what we are doing with the fix for this then we could all do it at the same time. I think we should keep things simple for this mech workshop though. what do you guys think?

yeah... maybe just stick with stuff that people know how to do... (like the suspension install). I think this kind of exploratory work should be saved for a workshop titled, "Let's Figure Out How To Do It Together".

I've updated the original post with the event time (11:30am).
The location will only be disclosed to members of the BC RX-8 Club.

Looks like we should be able to get around to installing your suspensions... And maybe one or two other items on the list.

So the location of the workshop is in Vancouver.

I've emailed the exact location to all the BC RX-8 members who have signed on to attend the workshop. Please let me know if the email didn't get to you.

Again, want to reiterate that this is a members only event. No exceptions. Sorry.

So anyone who shows up and is not a member yet MUST become a member. Otherwise, you will be asked to leave.

Sorry to have to be a hard-***...
