Hi Tim, Looks good. I'd like to see what it looks like with my suggestions. Maybe put a titanium background and also go with the white lettering only without the black outline/shadow. Actually I like it without the vancouver as well.

Excellent. I really like how the 5D3_V2.2 (Variant) My tweak, turned out. Thats the one I'd vote fo, I like how you layered teh flag between the inner circle of the rotor and the outer triangle. it almost gives ita 3D effect. The Colours of the text and rotor are the only things that may need to be changed so that it works on all colour cars. OR you can leave the colour option up to individual preferences.White lettering works on all cars except white, when it is on the Body.
We'll chat some more.
BTW I'll be here for the BBQ, I cancelled my London trip.

 

Hey Tim. I love the way 5d3 v2.1 turned out. I really like the bold solid white lettering. I guess sometimes less is more. I'd be satisfied with that as is, but if it were up to me I'd:
-rotate the rotary shape another 2 degrees clockwise
-take out vancouver, and make the "BC RX-8" text 1.75 times taller but not wider
(I think keeping a minimal amount of text and increasins the size of the remaining text will help visibility of our club's name)

 

Wow. 2degrees? That's why I've kept out of this logo thing. I don't have such eagle sharp eyes... :p

I like 5D3_V2.1 more than 5D3_V2.2. In 5D3_v2.2, I couldn't really recognize that the circle thing inside the maple leaf was part of the rotor. 5D3_V2.1 shows the rotor triangle more clearly.

So my vote is: 5D3_V2.1

Yes, V2.2 with the maple leaf in the background is definitely my choic.

 

Ok folks these are the final two variants. Based on the design that was approved by our Master Chief.

After this, I'm hanging up my hat for logo design. Both of these logos look very nice. - Honestly... they are pretty much the same, just with the Logo in a different spot and the logo icon a different size.

Haha, let's not spit too many hairs! I'm itching to get our Club cards website and Vinyl tests done!
