Best non-oem Catcon in Canada?
So I happened to pop code P0240 on my way home from work today and it seems it is time for a new Catcon.
Can anyone direct me to the quickest/best replacement Catcon other than Mazda OEM $1000+ Catcons? Something that holds up to the higher temps?
Preferably in Canada to save time, or else I would go ahead and buy the davesport one.
Has anyone had any luck with the universal rx7 Magnaflow cats or of similar in Ontario?

Why not just put a pipe on from
http://www.rx7store.net/Agency_Power...ap-rx8-171.htm
$240 including delivery, then put a Spark plug non fouler in the downstream O2 hole. Total cost $250

Darkbrew and I have a custom RP midpipe with a Davesport Cat installed.
We unfortunately haven't done a Emission test yet but we are not holding our breath as far as a pass.
As an FYI --
While the Ontario emission laws are changing they currently do a sniff test while you vehicle is on a modified dyno.

Well thats good to know.
I currently just went and got a hi flo cat installed for 270$ at a local shop.
I hear the defouler plug doesn't always work, and im not fond of having a CEL all day every day.
I cleared the code with the scanner. Hopefully it wont come back within the year, or have a premature failure.
Thanks for the replies.

No aftermarket cat lasts as long as the original, especially the "local muffler shop ones"
On my old Fc's I wen through 7 in 1 year ( free replacements) and then they wouldnt warranty me anymore, so I went to a straight pipe, and put a cat in for etest day.
Even a regular piston powered car will go through that cat in 2 years, or less.
Try looking for a used stock one while you drive on this one for the meantime.

My stock cat passed emissions pretty easily here so I think a high-flow might pass the sniffer as well. All my numbers were way below ontario limits.
If you go catless watch out for the smog patrol lol =D
