Bought a RX-8! New Owner Needs Warranty Advice

the more the better, but they should still honour it. If it burnt out due to no oil or something then a different story, but doubt that's the case.

When I talked to the local dealer, the Service Manager explained that Mazda doesn't really care who owns the car as long as the maintenance was done at a Mazda dealer. If the previous owner(s) did a good job it should all be trackable by the VIN.

Whether you did the maintenance in a mazda stealer or another shop of your preference CANNOT affect your warranty. All you need is the proof of maintenance = receipt. Of course if you do all your services to the stealership then automaticaly the stealers know what has been done to the car by clicking the VIN.
