Brake issues - they need to be change!!

I was wondering, if it's normal for my dealer to suggest that I'll chage both my original pads and original disks after not even 45 000 km??

I mean, pads I would understand but all four disks????

1st time I change my pads and know I gotta change my disks as well? Never raced the car, never brought it to a track, just normal city and highway driving.

Please advise,

Regards

This question is analogous to asking"How long is piece of string?"
Some people can make brakes last a long time, over 100k km.Others are capable of taking a set of brakes out in 30k km.There are too many factors.
The only way to know is have an experienced technician look at them at another shop.

A dealer will always go the "safe" route when it comes to brakes. If we tell you they will last until your next service in writing on your repair order and they fail because the pads wore out customer will assume we are liable for any other damage (eg. accidents etc). We put pads on cars anywhere between 25000 - 60000km depending on the driver, we dont machine rotors anymore we usually replace them and recommend pads when they are below 3- 4mm of frictional material.

Don't worry about the brake issues, as I mention many times in diff threads. Go to the dealer and claim for the warranty.

I changed it 5 times for free with all common issues. The last time one of the brake pad papers sneeze out about 5 cm from the clip.

Dam they do it for free again.

^^^ Huh?

Brakes wear out at variable rates; your driving style and conditions have the most effect on the absolute rate of wear, but your rates don't seem to be too unusual. Sure, it's low KMs compared to something like an Accord, but then again, the Accord doesn't stop as well as your 8...
