Burlington meet?

Hey guys. there seems to be a lul in activity lately. winters coming..guess people are getting depressed and losing interest, i know i am. anyways, lets have a wing meet or something.

hopefully a few of the new guys will come out. anyways, may as well collect interest before we try any planning. i just figure burlington as its relatively central. there a quite a few members in oakville and burlington and for us tri city few its not a very long drive. anyways, post up if you are interested and what sort of timing works best for you.

weeknight evenings are doable for me. weekend afternoons-evenings also work for me.

hopefully we can have one last little meet and great before the snow flys. also, i dont mean to be a dick and exclude the T.O. guys with this location. i just figure you are all so close and it seems like you guys do your own coffee meets and whatnot frequently, so this is something for those of us that arent willing to make the trek just for that. anyone and everyone is welcome though. havent seen the regulars for a while and didnt see much of you guys at mosport as things happened really quickly there and everyone was on their way right after the lapping.

anyways, let me know what you guys think.

UPDATE:

location: Ye Olde Squires pub

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...anada&t=h&z=16

Time/Date: sunday november 15th around 5pm until whenever.

Hey Greg,

PS. BTW, Just got the car back after 1 month at the auto body shop. My favoite car wash decided it did not want to let my car go so it kept the exit door closed. Scccccrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapppe - front to back. $3500 later...

Hey Greg,

I teach Weekday Evenings from 5 till 10, so a Weekend thing would be better for me.

it might be a little late in the week to be planning for this weekend. how does next weekend suite you guys? 14th/15th?

Yup, plus they covered the rental, (2 weeks of a Mitsu Outlander, and two weeks of 300C) gave me another 3 months of free washes and 5c off 1000 litres of fuel!

wow, thats not bad. so what company was this? my car could use both a good wash and a new paintjob. figure if i pay one and risk the other, it might work out as good for me as for you. lol.

so how about we say for next weekend tentatively. would saturday or sunday be preferable for you guys? are we feeling a lunch or an evening thing? I work saturdays until 1, so other than that, next weekend is open for me. also, what about place? how does boston pizza sound? theres off of upper middle if i recall. unless you guys know of a better place for wings or something.

I would like to try to make it out as well. I'm a newbie to the forum and to my RX-8. 3 weeks in and loving every second of it! I have not yet had a sighting in the Hamilton area of any other RX-8's...besides I need someone to tell me what colour grey my car is.

alright. so there seems to be sufficient interest. lets get a time/day solid. I'll just put a time/date out there and we can change/move it to suite everyones schedule so everyone can come out.

lets say, the boston pizza on dundas street/appleby line (see attached map link) in burlington for 5pm on sunday the 15th? earlier or later is fine by me. im just proposing a time to get things rolling. it appears they are open 11am until 2am 7 days a week. so whatever works best for everyone.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...h&z=17&iwloc=A

looking at the map, it looks like its the middle of a farmers field, but if memory serves its actually closer to the corner of hwy 5 (dundas street) and applebyline. I could be wrong though, so anyone that knows better, please correct me if im wrong. also, there is another boston pizza just off the QEW on a south service road, but the one i picked is only about a block from a street called "rotary way". lol. thats gotta be a sign. so anyways, discuss. suggest. and so on.

If your guys are looking for a Pub style place, my friends and I haunt called (Ye Olde) Squires. There is one at Walkers and Fairview that's owed by the same people.

I'll take pictures of the menu if interested.

BP, place mentioned above, McD's, Hooters, Olive Garden... Don't matter to me.

Will I get laughed at if I leave the car seats in my 8?

you'd probably show up in the focus anyways though.

haha, i kid. too bad man. its been a while.

so for everyone that is coming out, i'll keep the first post updated with time/date/address to make it easier as we solidify everything.

and kevin, am i to assume you are coming out from the comment you made? i'd like to see how the car looks with fresh paint and the 3M covered front end.
