I am using my stock rim for track/winter so I need this DD be nice and strong...RPF1 is strong but not nice enough.

Think of this one as OZ Ultraleggera Enkei version? :P

Footman you got a red car...tons of nice black rims!

I've considered OZ Ultraleggera too, and other black rims. I think black is too black on the car, and would make the car look too boy-racer-ish..

So now I'm aiming for either gunmetal or silver finishes to keep the classy look.

Hey Al, referencing a post elsewhere on the site, can we get this done at your dealership?

"Just got my rotor hubs cleaned and silver powder coated at the dealer two days ago for free. If you're still covered under powertrain warranty, you can get it done at your dealer at free of charge.

My car is 04 and has 44k miles......

Here's something you can show to your dealer, if they refuse to do it...

Rust can be seen on the brake rotor hub area when looking between the wheel spokes. The rust is most visible on vehicles equipped with 17" chrome wheels. 1. Remove rust from hub(s) by sanding. 2. Clean/prep hub surface for primer. 3. Mask off brake rotor area. 4. Apply primer around entire hub area. 5. Once primer dries, apply a heat type silver paint to the affected area to repair the vehicle. Note: Replace the rotor(s) only if the affected area cannot be repaired enough to satisfy the customer.

Same here, I like gunmetal and silver. I'm no longer into white and black is too black/ not into the "steelie" look

One of the gunmetal rims that looks nice are the Rota Boosts... see pics

One outside contender is the deep bronze color like these work wheels even tho i hate gold rims ... see pics

Love the concave look which is tough to get on our 8's

The Rota boosts are a replica of Advan RG-II at a fraction of the price...

I have them for the 3....They look great.....but for the 8 I'd get the real deal...=)

the Work emotion Kai CR are a heavy wheel..

but do look nice....and you won't be the only one to have them...ATON of people have these wheels on everycar you can name..

and the CR Kais you showed us on DANO's car has a really aggressive offset and like 9.5 width wheel to make them look decent with some concavity..

good luck , I still say Advans !!!!

I believe the ADvans are forged..

but i do know the works are cast for sure.

Yeah, I know the Rota's are copies of the RG2. It's unfortunate that the RG2 isn't available in gunmetal. Given the style of the wheel, I only like it in that color. What color Rota are you running with your 3 and are they boosts?

If I went with the Work's I would go with the same width and offset as Dano but the weight does bother me, so I probably won't go that way.

Which wheels do you have again on your 8?

Ray's Gramlights 57S-Pro Powdercoated to a custom color=)

really the RG-II don't come in that color I m surprised

I am running the Boost's in your most hated color GOLD..

lol...

you should see my 3....the Boost is a pretty nice wheel...too bad it isn't the real deal=(

rx8thunder if you do 19" on the Enkei GTC01 You can have the concave look...its in the design.

If I was not concern about further killing fuel economy with wider tires and don't want to drive like a pussssy on street with huge rims I woulda go all the way...
