Calgary: Nosemask?

Hey guys,
Was wondering if anyone in Calgary actually managed to get a nose mask from the dealers? I asked ALL three dealers, Kramer, Sunridge and North Hill.

Sunridge claims they are discontinued.
Kramer says they don't make one for RX-8.
North Hill also claims they don't make one for the RX-8.

So I'm thinking ??? I am sure they make one for the 8 because its in the accessories brochure, and it's even in the parts inventory for Sunridge's computer.

I need one because I am planning a trip down to Vancouver. I will try calling Canzoomer tomorrow as they have not replied to my e-mail.

They tried to sell me one when I bought the car at Sunridge. I didn;t want it.

You DO NOT want a nose mask .. they tried to sell one to me as well. Those will scratch up your paint job. Get a 3M clear bra instead.

Interesting that they tried to sell you guys one...but now say it's discontinued, or even never existed...

I was only planning to use it for 2 days to protect the 8 from bugs, drive down and take it off, and drive back and take it off...

Anyone know if the Rain-X bug and tar protection or the Duplicolor equivalent is any good?? I might resort to either of those now...

x2. Clear bras are awesome. Highly recommend it. A black bra just ruins the look of the car, especially one that you paid so much money for! And we have a long winter too!

From: Half a parsec from Kessel...
Wash it and wax it well before you go. Bugs slide off clean wax.

Rocks, on the other hand, are a different story.

I commute between Kelowna and Vancouver, but only drive the 8 once in awhile, so I use it for those rare trips. I was told they were discontinued here due to the headlight washers.....so I bought a US one and had a couple of holes put in by a local boat upholstry shop....$20.00

Ah, that makes some sense now. The dealer never could give me a decent reason as to why it was discontinued.

Thanks for all the responses, I will try waxing the 8 and then adding some Rain-x bug and tar before the trip. The Rain-x seems promising from the review here...

As for a clear bra, I think it's too late for my 8 right now, haha...many chips on the front already, I will definately get one if I decide to keep the 8 after lease, and if I do keep her I hope to repaint the front or get a kit, AUTOBAHN front!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
