Calgary owners..

Anyone interested in a meet someday when we arent afraid of being hailed on/scraping our undercarriages on ice/leaving the safety of our garages?

(ok this must be why its been forever since the last one..?)

yeah...we usually don't meet over the winter. I would suspect we could get one together for May. That's when most of the people that store their 8 over the winter bring it back out and when the ones that drive switch out their snow tires.

Unless someone requests a meet earlier, I will set one up for May.

Mind you we could do the Hooters meet again sooner. I have no problems with that.

I'm interested. May works for me, since then I'd have my summer tires back on.

I assumed winter meets were out.. since I see no other 8's around my area hence, my 'someday'.

Whenever is great, if there is interest.
When was the last one, I thought I read someone saying 2005?

Didn't we do our first rx8 meet (the Hooters one) in Feb or March? I remember I still had snow tires on and that was around the time khtm had his winter mountain-man trek with his "pals". Heh heh heh.

I'd be up for a winter meet.

I think our last meet was in the fall but it was a one man meet (Slowlude) ... but prior to that it was that time we drove out to the mountains (oh man I just checked my pics and it was 2005!!!). We were also supposed to have a meet with the rx7 guys but it was just me that showed. Ha ha ... apparently the rx7 guys have trouble getting together too!

I just checked my old pics and the last time we had a winter meet was in March 12, 2005 ... freaky ... almost exactly 2 years ago. I think the rotary gods are beckoning for a Hooters meet.

We also had onbe in 2006 that I went to.

We can do another pre-spring meet. Even if it is a few of us. Maybe Joey's this time.

Geez thanks for digging up old wounds! At least I took some awesome pictures that day. I'd be up for a meet anytime of the year. Winter shoes or not. There are a few good events coming up such as Cool Cars for Cancer and MITM '07. I think the drive we took to Elbow Falls was fun.

^ I love the Autobahn kit. Where did you order it from? If I didn't already have the MS kit, I'd go either Autobahn or Mintblue. All great looking kits, but the I loved the MS wing so I had to go that route..

that'll be great to see the Autobahn kit ...you'll be the 2nd most modded 8 (next to Slowlude). Speaking of mods ... may be getting the RP short shifter soon!

What do you guys think about meeting up for lunch on a Sunday ... perhaps the 25th @ Joeys on 32nd?

My car is only exterior modded, it's all stock underneath. I wish I had money but I spent it on my other baby, an old school bimmer. Once I've saved enough, its FI time!! Can't wait to see that short shifter, didn't KHTM have one before? I'm good for the 25th.

I got in on the group buy along with the burnout side/rear + a MS wing.. all replica ( all i can afford atm ) I think I should be pretty unique in Canada :D. But same as Slowlude just all exterior mod. Well I will be lowering the car soon, but probably wont get to install the kit until later this summer (~aug) or maybe next summer, depending if Im going to be out of the country for the summer or not. I usually am.

I don't think that KHTM had the short shifter ... it was ManTonTon (the mystery yellow8 guy). He's actually selling his 8 so he offered me the shifter.

Dying-here ... get that stuff installed! Looks like you still have to get it painted huh?

wrong...Kane did have the RP short shifter on his car. I kept telling him he should give it to me before he sold his car to some lady.

Yeah it was Kane. You should definitely install the body kit as soon as you can. Otherwise, you'll miss out on the enjoyment factor. I used to own a Prelude for 6 years and I waited until the last 2 years before buying and installing parts to it. If I had done it when I first bought it (if I had money), I could get the most out of my money.

Monetary issue plays a pretty major role too :D I hope the stock market sky rocket in the very near future Althought the recent downfall with the china market and US housing market didnt help at all

Okay so we have a date now... the 25th.
We have several locations. I vote for something central.
We had 1pm mentioned..

Anyone have other suggestions?

I think that we had suggestions for either Hooters on Macleod or Joey's on 32nd. The parking lot at Hooters is definitely bigger than the one at Joey's (lots of room so that the silvers can park away from the rest of us) AND Hooters is relatively central.
