Well, it looks like there's some life back in the Calgary 8 community! I should revive the "Spotted in Calgary" thread. Frenzy, I have to check out your shifter next time. How much do they go for new?

^^^ The AFE shifter goes for about 260USD. Compared to the Mazdaspeed one which is 450-600 USD. From what I gather, the guys that have used the MS short shifter like the AFE one better (shorter throws and it's not as expensive).

^^ Honestly, there's not much to really look at since I'm using the OEM shift ****. The only discernable visual difference, while in neutral, is that the top of the shift **** looks like it's tilted 5mm or so to the left. But when you actually shift, that's where you feel the difference (the sound it makes almost sounds like the shifting in a Ferrari!)

I think the best part is when you're shifting to 5 or 6 ... you don't have to push SOOOO far to the right to make sure you are in the right shift gate.
