Canadian buy-back, 500$ etc???

I just called Mazda Customer service... and they haven't heard about the "buy-back, 500$ etc" that will be available to our american friends.

The representative will try to get more infos and phone me asap..

He, maybe all canadian 8 do have the 247hp advertised! Nahh... compare to my TT, (180hp+chip), my 8 seems barely faster... let's talk about 215hp.. not 247.. not even 238.

Hope to get some news soon!

i'll be calling my dealer today as well, i want to keep the car but 500$ (or more as it is in cdn $ ) plus free service would help counteract the price of fuel that is soooooo ridiculously high in quebec. how much is it in Q city?

By the way... when I explained the problem to the representative (wrong hp) he said:

"Just like the Miata... they'll never learn"

Hi F1michel,

In Quebec city it's 89,5 for the regular, not sure about the premium since I made my last fill-up just before the price increase, but it must be around 0.97$

Even by driving like my granny (shifting at 3k, 1-3-5-6 to maintain the rev around 2-2.5k) I had all the trouble to make 90km with a 1/4 tank!!!

Oh well.. will see!

No idea about the deal for miata's owners, but I think (from what I read in another thread) that it was about the same deal as the one propose for the 8 (buy-back, some cash)

I found reference to it on the web and it was identical to the RX8 deal. The problem I see with it is $500 USD is NOT $500 CDN, and 4 yrs maintenance is not 3 yrs! GRRR

I agree Wing, it should be more like 700$ cash. The 3 year warranty is something i doubt they would change.

TT, i filled up in the Asbestos area yesterday and it was at .76$ regular. I was amazed as it was .89$ in Mtl.
