Well, I shouldn't have included the CX-7 in the "car" list...
But yes, the Tribute is a rebadged Escape, and the CX-9 shares alot with it's cousin the Edge.
Those "trucks" are built in the U.S, with the exception of the CX-7, which is built in Japan.

Yeah, well - I know that the cdn model has the front wipers on the headlights, while the US had the TPMS.
I think the Japan models have slightly bigger engines and might put out more BHP than the North American ones.

u mean front washers...volvos have the wipers on their headlights.
And yea they had to tweak the engine here in North America to meet emission requirements. I think I read how that tweaking resulted in the loss of HP and increase in fuel consumption.

Right, washers, that's what I meant.

You'll find a variety of changes depending on the country the cars will be delivered.
Some standard trim is optional and vice versa according to the country.
For example, I don't know why the Canadian models don't come with the fog light that is standard on UK models. I think it completes the rear end of the car...
But I guess there's something in the Canadian laws that prohibit that...
daddyg,
No worries buddy...

Neo, I grew up in Aurora

It's not just fog, though... rain coming down in sheets and blowing snow happen often enough here. The bright rear fogs are an easy way for drivers behind you to see your car earlier than they would with just your the parking lights on (if you must be driving in those conditions, that is)
And they're very useful against morons that insist on tailgating...

daddyg,
I seriously doubt you would see me. First, I don't drive an RX-8... lol
The avatar you see is the actual car I drive. I'll be updating it soon (hopefully tonight..). Got some new pics taken lately.
I tend to follow anything rotary related. So I know quiet a bit about the RX-8 and the other models in the Mazda lineup.
But if you ever see a VR (as in Vintage Red) RX-7, it'll probably be me. I live on the opposite side of town. Bathurst and Wellington. Probably the only RX-7 with Efini emblems on...
eug,
I know what you mean about the bright rear fog lights. Coming back from the Ottawa cruise, we got caught up in some crazy rain fall! It was really difficult to see the cars ahead of you. And we were only doing about 90km/h or so... The rear fog light would help alot!
I've been in Aurora for almost 19yrs now. Practically grew up here. Aside from the Canadian winters, this little town (not so little anymore) is probably the nicest place to live. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else... unless of course somebody offers up a free place down in Cali... I would like to drive my car all year round instead of putting it away for those horrible winter months!!

Plus a Neo sighting in his RX is pretty rare
Hey Neo, how's the CX-7 now that you've put some miles on it?

Chad's alive!!
No thread hi-jacking, huh?
CX-7 is doing well. She's only got about 2500km's on it... we don't drive it too much. The price of premimum fuel is hurting us a bit... which is probably why we don't drive it too often.
Filling the FD up is really hurting the wallet!! But I can't stand driving the 3 on such nice days...
When are we going to see you again buddy??

You may have seen me in the area. I live in the south end of Newmarket so I do most of my shopping in the plazas on Bayview......plus I work in Markham and like to take Leslie home instead of the 404

I know what you mean with the price of premium these days. I sometimes get second thoughts about buying out my lease in a year, but then a little 'beep' reminds me why I love this car
I'm hoping to make the mega meet, it's been too long.
