Cheap Mazda rear arc spoiler

Anyone know of a place where I can get one of these that's cheaper than Canzoomer ($676)? Maybe even an immitation...

This guy ships worldwide...total would be ~ $190 US

I'm a bit worried about customs charges though...they always end up being a real kick in the junk.

khtm, before you order... call your Mazda dealer (Canadian) and you can get
a OEM Spoiler for $450 CDN painted/installed. My service part told me they have 3 different models.. I have to go see in person...

Simon.

hmmmm...perhaps I'll give that a shot. I just assumed the dealership would be WAY overpriced like they usually are.

SilerBullet and khtm, I would appreciate it if you let me know what you decided on and the associated costs because I'm in the market as well for a rear spoiler.

Keep us posted.

Thanks in advance.

They have a smaller lip spoiler in the vendor forum under RX8Fun. Its modelled after the European model. The neat thing about it is that you do not need to drill holes to mount it. (Great for people who lease) It mounts with both 2 sided tape and these special high powered magnets.Go read about it. Its pretty cool stuff!

Rotten, I like that spoiler as well. In fact I prefer something discrete like that but he's not taking orders on it anymore. Not until 2005 anyway. Do you have it? Is it easy to appy on straight? Is it rubber or platic or fiberglass?

My RX8, what is the RR spoiler? Is that a brand? Sounds interesting

No I don't have it. I ws going to order it before but my wife explained to me that I had just spent 40k on a car and she doesn't have a new kitchen table. If I got the spoiler before the kitchen table I would not have been allowed to sit at the old table anymore! :D
I might order it in the spring time...I aso like a more discrete spoiler.

I don't know about the Euro spoiler. It's not that noticeable ... the first time I saw pics of it, I didn't know what I was supposed to be looking at until I saw the unit detached. Not that I'm proposing a HUGE Lancer like wing in order to be noticed.

Again, better than nothing, right?

I also am not a fan of the euro spoiler, nor the Mazdaspeed spoiler. The best I've seen so far is (shockingly enough), the stock Mazda spoiler.

Khtm, I hear you. The thing thatbugs me about the Mazda spoiler is it makes the RX-8 look taller and the back end less wide. Also, the spoiler look is very common and the 8 looks a bit the the Mazda 6 . It almost make it look less mean.

OK I'll stop rambling on about this. I'll probably end up with the stock spoiler anyway.....

im not a big fan of that spoiler either, its just too small. I have the OEM one, and if i werent to have it, i would just go spoilerless like shamblerock's VR GT
