Polished.......
No that looks like the factory polished option, I was just too lazy to find a picture of 'polished' rims.
Here is a piccy of the ones that Canzoomer had polished, I picked up the test sample for him and was blown away by the finish......

More polished.....
Hear me now...
....and believe me later!
Another pic, this is without any finishing treatment at all, just polished by a good shop. 'Zoomer had them powder coated, that adds a lot more depth to the surface......
Nice, no?

$3,199.80 to get the option of getting them factory polished....
And in canada most of the accesories are separate and dont belong in packages..
All i see right now is the option of GS or GT trims.... for leather or cloth... everything else seems to be optional.. am i correct?

ah.. thanx for making everything clear....
Now for sure i have made my decision on going with the GT version but w/o navigation.... dont really find a need for them except on some occasions...

hehe, yup, but I have to check options always, to see what is affordable and best, but if I go for the polish and powder, then I will need other rims and tires for the meantime, so I will probably need to shop for some rims and winter tires, hehe, that way i am prepped for the winter season, and can still drive while tires getting done

Trussville Mazda sells the OEM dark chrome rims for $357.50 US (it says it's a sale price until the end of April but it's still up there). Mazda discontinued the polished rims due to delivery issues and replaced them with the chrome rims.
I got a set of polished rims off a guy in the US who had bought them and exercised the buy back option so didn't have his car anymore. That's right when the news broke about them being discountined so I thought I better scoop them up before they disappear as dealers were not getting any more.

Yup, polished rims were discontinued by Mazda.
Polished are also MUCH more desirable than chromed - the chroming process adds weight, probably about one pound per wheel, and actually weakens the underlying metal (although I doubt this is a significant factor for aluminum alloy wheels). On the other hand, polished wheels are a bit lighter than the stock painted wheels, and just as strong.
Aftermarket - chrome wheels are almost always heavier than the OEM wheels, which is a very bad thing for a sports car! You want wheels that are as light as possible!

Gordon
