I'd agree with the sways, low tire pressure causes tire roll as the sidewall is not as stiff.
I want the Eibach 27mm front & rear sways kit with new endlinks, but alas no $$$'s hopefully next spring.

Rick, for several months now, Eibach has REMOVED the RX-8 sway bars from their official website. I have a feeling they discontinued them.

Eibach has had problem with their hollow sway bars breaking in the past, probably the same issue. Also the sway bar links will break if you dont use modified ones with the aftermarket bars.

HPDE is not a race at all....this the only car we have for a lot of us.

Nate if you want to "race" go with the touge guys...Quincy black turbo rx8 should be a good match for you. I know you have good skills but saying this is boring is kinda lame - you can always make it more fun by improving your time. Have you try drifting all around track? That will be fun! ;p

For me, my goal is just try to improve my driving skills and have fun.

Next thing for me will be a more scientific approach to improve my driving -
1)getting a timing device,
2)getting a video recording device (maybe even those that record your throttle / brake input like what http://taka-rx8.blogspot.com did), and probably
3)driving school next year when I got more fund...
4)I have to get the equippment to change my race tires ..... but damn all the tools are expensive!

Footman: Yeah my gfs cant take good pics...F U lolz

The major contributory factor for body lean is weight transfer across the car from right to left. If we both had the same tires yes your car would have less lean due to the stiffer suspension. But since you have tires that have “no grip” which you have stated many times your car will slide before it starts loading up the outside wheel to the extremes of us with slicks. Since my car has a much higher speed around the corner there is much greater force being put on my outside tire causing more weight transfer to happen.

josh, i did not say this was boring. i said man what a fun time, with few cars out there it can get boring if you don't have a stop watch and i do.

I definitely have less lean than the others with stock suspension. B8's are awesome!
OR maybe you don't have body lean because your not going fast enough around that corner...lolz

And this is how racing starts lol, btw if you get caught timing on a lapping day by the track or seeing who is faster you would have to have special insurance etc. Most of the time they wont notice but if they do, they wont rent you the track again. If you rent the track with one car for testing you can time as it is not classified as racing. If more than one car is timing it is considered racing.

I'm definitely up for another track day too!! but I'd really love it if we could pick a track where we have the pit lane on the other side (the regular side) or have it not so late so that we don't become dinners for mosquitos!!

FYI I found the last set of 245/40/18 BFG R1's. A place in Markham has then the shop is called Braidan Wheel and Tire, he is now the official distributor in Canada. My supply of used ones is now over, the series isnt coming to Canada this year and just found out is cancelled after that. Only good thing is some cheap Mustang track cars may be for sale soon!

tmp is a neat track anyone know the hourly rate? rick if you organize it ill make sure you dont marshall for even a minute.

seemed to be at least 8 cars in the pits we just need to convince those drivers to stand by and marshall instead of just talking in a big circle.

every wed 5 - dusk @ TMP $ 60 + tax if your preregister. $80 plus tax at the door. Go to their site. No need to do much of anything except show up and have fun while respecting the track and your cars. Last wed there was a GTR '10, porches and a viper.

The only thing you need to remember is preregistration ends on the monday @ 5pm for wed.
