Anyone know where is there a good place to buy a Snell SA2010 Helmet? Or have one extra they could lend me for the 16th?

Driver's Meeting Points (We go over and I'll post this at the track as well)
& Track day info with turn by turn.pdf (I'll print out some for anyone who wishes one.)
All drivers and passengers must sign the waivers and have bracelets assigned, towing and ambulances services are at driver's expense, if the need arise but very unlikely.
Quick Track Check List
• Fill-up close to the track (There's a Gas Station on the way in on your left....only 91 octane)
• Check Tire Pressure
• Torque Wheel Lug Nuts to Spec
• Check Oil & Coolant Level
Before entering Pit Area remove all loose object from trunk and interior cabin and leave on the outside pit wall.
Enter Pits with cars lined up on the far left and right sides, 4/5 newbies in rear as they first on for a few laps with a co-driver. Center of pits will always kept clear.
To Exit the Pits you must get the go signal from whom ever is marshaling the track entrance. Take it slow till your tire warm up and you KNOW the track.
Passing
Be aware of other cars around you, check mirrors constantly. If you don't feel safe don't give pass me signal until the straight away!
The passing car must get the pass me signal from the car being passed, absolutely no passing on corners and only in dedicated passing zones.
The driver being passed keep his line, it's the passing driver's duty to pass safely.
Only 12 car MAX are allowed on the track at any given time. Wait Pit Go
First 15min =12 Cars with 4 newbie passengers. Newbie cars last in pits.
Newbies/Co-drivers come off switch to own cars with there co-drivers.
Second 15min =12 Cars 4 newbie drivers in there car with there same co-drivers and up to another 8 cars.
After that just keep 4 cars minimum in the pits at all times. This works!
Only one issue is a pit marshal on switch, I'll volunteer to pit at the the switch to get you guys out again.
Now we need 4 volunteers for the newbies co-drivers:
1. c_ls /???
2. Spence15 /???
3. rx8-druggist /???
4. thriller /???
Everyone with any track experience will have marshal the pits for say 10 minutes after one of there sessions, I believe this this fair to everyone involved.
All cars will stay in the pits expect for mechanical issues/tire changes. Entering and exit the pits to/from the paddock has the be strictly controlled as it dangerous during a active track with cars from the track pitting and exiting.
Address in case of emergence:
Shannonville Motorsport Park
7047 Old Hwy #2, Shannonville, ON, K0K 3A0
Phone: (613) 969-1906
Local Towing Services if the need arise.

Academy Towing
Belleville, ON
(613) 969-0003
Auto Assist

(613) 966-3302
P.S. As to the extra hour of track time we can discuss this at the track. Linda at the track says no prob if 10 or so want the extra hour.

Don't know about R1 but if you are talking cold 40psi seems way to high.
I start my Hoosier Conti Spec at 27 - 26psi cold and aim for around 33-34psi hot. This is based on the recommendation of a Conti team that I get them from. When I ran the KDWs at Mid Ohio after cording the Hoosiers I started them around 27psi.
I am sure Al would tell you where to start with the R1s.
I would not start street tires above 30psi. Of course is also depends on how much tread you have, generally more thread / chunky tire = less psi cold.
With the Star Specs that I use now I run them at 27-28psi.
Just some recommendations, others may have a different opinion. It also depends on how hard you drive.
Finally, just as a word of caution, I would recommend wearing a helmet on the track if you are not just cruising. You never know what may happen; for example you go off, wheels not facing in the direction you are going, dig in and flip
Cheers

Al said for the R1 its 32 when cold...never exceed 40 when hot...thx all...I will keep it below 32 then.
Chris: Hows the R3 compare to the old Rx8 you got...did the bilstein and suspension changes really transform the car?

Yes, it's rain or shine! The track is booked and half paid for.

Check out R1s site, tells you there. Mine are somewhere around 28-32, thinking 28 tho.
RXeckless - IMO newbies should first go around with someone before they get in their own car! I HIGHLY stress that! Even if it's only 3-5 laps. Then switch. For the newbies cars, could do scotch tape of a triangle on their window so ppl know who to be even more cautious around.
Rain is actually fun to race it...and scary, but no R1s so bring on the sun!
