ON clutch gone, clutch back

So yesterday I was on my way to work as usual and as I was trying to shift from 5th to 6th on km 60 of a 75 km trip, i was unable to do it. I tried to shift back to 5th and no luck either, so i reved it and dropped in back into 5th. Approached a set of lights, complete stop and I had to shut the car off to get it into 1st, I'm no strager to shifting without the clutch so I started granny driving with no complete stops and made it the rest of the way to work.

Upon finishing work early, i was going to persue the issue further with the mechanics at the shop, but to my surprise, the problem had fixed itself.

Now my assumption was that there was an air bubble in the line, or the clutch had some how overheated, should I start shopping for a master, slave, or clutch set?
?

Anyone ever have a similar experience?

It might be your clutch pedal assembly is going out. The clutch pedal assembly seems to be very weak on our 8's and there are a couple of vendors selling clutch pedal assembly reinforcement kits.

the thing is I looked at the pedal and the feel is completely normal, and my understanding of the clutch pedal issue is that it breaks off completely? I dont see how letting the car sit for 8 hours would fix a shitty clutch pedal, but maybe i'll dig further as I only got down there and looked at it while engaging and disengaging

What part of the pedal assembly is the weak link?

Clutches are like brakes in the way that RX8 clutches are hydraulic. May simply be fluid is low or leaking or just really dirty as no one ever flushes the fluid like you would brake fluid.

I have a blue 04 "8" with 50,000 miles. Now on the highway and just got off and now I'm driving down city streets light after light and I'm not having problems with the clucht , but I'm stepping on the gas and she is sounding fast but there's no speed. It felt good when I got on to the highway no problem. By the way it takes me 10 min to get to the highway and again no problems getting to or on it, but right after dont know what. I go home and park the car come back about 3 hours and test drive it and no problem wtf. any suggestion?
