Clutch Be warned, might be a stupid qs.
Quick Qs. I have never tried teh RX-8 in the showroom or another one outside of my own. Went to the dealership today and sat in the 3. Pressed on the clutch and it was very light to push in and out. My ciutch pedal to describe would be medium to hard. Is that how its supposed to be or somehting jus wrong with mine?

Have you ever owned another manual transmission vehicle?
If so you must have noticed a difference between those ones.
What I'm saying is in my experience every manual car I've owned has had a difference in clutch stiffness even between same model cars.
My wife owns a Rav4 and the clutch in that can be depressed by a gentle breeze while my 4x4 pickup truck (winter beater) would be a medium.
My RX8 brand new had a medium stiffness (about the same as the truck) with a spongee feel to it.
I've since replaced it the clutch hose with a braided one and installed the ACT Street Clutch and Pressure Plate. It's now a medium-hard to hard stiffness.
I don't think I would recommend this clutch kit. I not unhappy but I'm not satisfied with it either. But we can talk about that if you come to the meet on Thursday, providing it doesn't snow. I have my summers on.
edit: LOL after that long winded path what I was trying to say is that "I think your 8 is fine"

Most economy cars have light clutches that are undersprung and have no feel (the worst are the Hondas). I've driven five different RX-8 and they're all pretty consistent. Heavier than normal with a quick bite point.
