Coke $3.33 + RX8
I just loaded my trunk with 10 cases of 20x355 mL coke on sale at No Frills for $3.33 /ea. This is gonna be my 2008 coke supply. 200 cans of it!!! BTW, the rear suspension dropped by at least 1.5 inch after I loaded it up.. gave me a good glimpse of what it'll be like when it's lowered with Tein S-techs' ahahahaha

Unit price of that is $0.2079 / can.
But No Frill's unit price is $0.1666 / can. No Frills is still the better deal.
The car is dirty yeah, it's a daily driver, I hand wash it once a week EVEN IN WINTER. That was the result of just 3 days of daily driving to work and back All that snow melting since the storm on Sunday resulted in all that salt.
But it all good now... I stopped at Shell at Valleymede/Hwy 7, paid $2.00 for the self-wash. I used the rinse only just to get salt off, and wiped the car clean with microfibre. That's my soapless carwash. Quick and effective just to get a basic cleaning done.
Underneath all that however is 6 layers of wax put on progressively since October to protect it.

Just because I'm bored, I disagree. Pressurized water only gets the surface stuff. Otherwise would those touchless automatic washes make your car amazingly clean? The grime is always left behind. The windows are never totally clean.

I am The One!
To get loose all the salt and grime, yes you can do what Footman does.
Although, I disagree with the wiping. You shouldn't do that unless you've actually used some carwash soap and then rinsed the car off.
Washing a car in winter is really annoying. You spend $2-4 at the quicky rinse, in a matter of hours it's dirty again.
I hate winter!
The paint on the 3 has taken all sorts of abuse. I've never done a proper wax job on it. Come spring I'm gonna have to apply some serious wax to it if I'm going to be giving it back in some sort of decent condition. It'll probably take me the whole day to do a proper wax job.
Thankfully it's not too big. No where near as small as the FD, but this car desperately needs it. I'm starting to see alot of swirl marks.
I'm grateful the FD doesn't see any bad weather. Cleaning it is infinately easier. A bit of wax touchup and she's looking pristine again. Went the whole year without applying wax. Definately gotta do a new wax job in the spring.
I basically have to put aside a whole weekend getting both cars looking really nice. Might have to carry into another weekend if the 3 puts up a fight.

I wash my car at Petro...they have for 11.99 the works and if it rains in 48hrs you get a free wash (which I did). I got underbody spray, wax, and all the goodies a Superme car wash gives.
Car looked new again for about 5mins or so.

Hey I use NXT and I love it...but I only did one coat. Does it really make a difference to do 2or 4?
