Considering a 2004 RX8 Manual

Hi everyone,

I'm considering purchasing a 2004 RX8 Man. 75000km. Without getting into detail, if that's possible, was 2004 a good model year or should I be looking for something newer. I've checked around on price and it appears in line.

thanks,

Modge

The 04's have the most problems. Stick with 05+ and save yourself some headaches.

maybe the 04's have the most issues because they have the most miles on them, as long as it has all the recalls done and TBS's it should be just as good as any other year.

I have an '04 and have only had (and still have) one issue, that being hard starts. If I could do it over again, I'd buy an '05 or beyond. This '04's got me a little nervous right now especially being out of warranty.

The 2004 is fine provided you buy one from late 2004 production.
Find out the build date.
Make sure it has all of the updates.
Run a check of the car's history.
If anything seems off then walk away.

Just to be on the opposite side, I have an '04 6mt and it has run perfectly from day 1 with no issues ever.

I have an 04 MT, build date in July of 2004. I've had no problems at all with the car, it's been a real pleasure since day 1.
