ON Costco Gas-Primum Gas 91 Octane

Okay so I have had this car for a about a week now.
Filled up at Costco premium 91 octane.
Drove a couple of days about 100km.
So yesterday I am driving on the hwy ( about 20 minutes Car is warm) in sixth gear at 130 km come upon a slight incline see a sunfire approaching from the back. Decided to give it some gas and nothing, instead I am loosing speed now down to 120.
Then as i approach a flatter surface the car takes off.
Sound of the Gear was very rough as though i was on gravel road.

Could this be the Costco gas?
or
FYI when I filled up I noticed that the Gas Cap had some oil residue. I did not premix. Could this be the problem?

Thanks

Thanks.

I would hate to believe that Gas from Costco is bad for this engine. Cause the price is one cent more the regular gas.

You've got a TON of things to do if you haven't done any of the following or have not done recently by review of the maintenance records:

- Clean MAF
- Clean Air filter
- Clean interior cabin filter (the air you breath as the driver is IMPORTANT TOO!!!)
- Coils
- Plugs (manufacturer recommends new plugs at 56,000km minimum, you are near this)
- Wires
- BG44K can into gas tank
- Reset fuel trims (20 brake pedal stomp)
- Differential fluid change
- Brake fluid change
- Transmission fluid change
- Oil change

Welcome,

Check the links in my sig. Read up. The $100 DIY list has some overlap with Footman's list. Depending on the year, you want to do both.

Plugs, Coils, Wires as a package from RACEROOT (Brice), I've bought from him before, no problems.

Air filter, get a drop in K&N filter.

Where abouts in the GTA do you live/

Where can I get the drop-in K& N filter in Toronto as the dealership prices are similar to original filters..

I wouldn't risk my engine just to save $5 for every tank, that's how I see it!
