Couple questions here.

1. Low coolant light comes on sometimes when pushing hard now and then. When I lower revs it goes back off after a minute or two. Not leaking any fluid, coolant been topped up. What should I do? Coolant flush n change?

2. I've got the nav system but it has the 2004 disc from the states. Looked at getting a newer one but it's like 600$ from dealer. Somebody know a loop around it?

Thanks

1. Faulty sensor, most likely. Common issue. Either unplug and check fluid regularly, or replace.

2. Not that I'm aware of lol

My coolant light comes on for a few seconds cruising at 60. I'm interested to know why, too. Freaks me out.

If you search for the coolant light issue, you'll find a few threads about it. It's just another cheap part apparently in the 8 that goes defective in time regardless of how full it is or your driving style. Since I unplugged mine when cleaning down the engine bay before getting it on the road and plugged it backed in it's been coming on and off randomly under cruise with temperatures the same so it's going defective.

Unfortunately from what I read, it costs around $150 to replace the reservoir since the sensor is attached to it and is the only way to replace it. Solution is if you already don't have aftermarket gauges to get a true temperature reading of your water/oil, then get them and unplug the sensor for monitoring if you start to lose coolant.

1. The coolant thing is the sensor, I had mine replaced under warrenty, they put it something called the overflow tank, it's slightly bigger, and has a better sensor, i've had it for a year now, the issue has never returned, my warrenty covered 80 % or something of the cost, so i ended up having to spend 60 bucks out of pocket, but my warrenty is an after market one. It's a know issue wiht the 04 and 05's I dunno about later. I have an 05.

You can either unplug it like people have said here and check your coolant yoursekf, or have the coolant tank + sensor replaced if it bugs you that much. I did it because it was under warrenty, and didn't cost that much :/.

2. I don't have a nav, so i don't know, but im sure you can "find (download for free, or have someone burn it)" something that would get around having to pay 600 bucks.
