yeah... I got another one yesterday. Came on for about 20 seconds after I was heavy on the pedal on the highway... went out and hasn't come back since. I think it has to do with another coil going. On Sunday she started having problems turning over... that's continued. Going to buy the last 3 coils and try to install them this weekend. Hopefully that'll take care of it.

Shitty!! Ya doubt it is the ram duct. let me know where and how much you get the coils for, I need to do mine. Finishlineperformace just raised their price from 22 - 29 urg. If you want help with it let me know, I can do them all in like 10 min now

Damn. I'm gonna need to do coils soon. I just know it.

I'm up for the meet. Friday would be better, but I may be able to do Thursday.
Can we add the topic:
7) Rotary Mike - Luckiest RX8 Owner on Earth
I do not get these random CEL, stalls, flodding, etc.

So you found/bought one?!?!? or did you trade for it? Dude REV is fast as hell getting the front bumper off...now putting it back on different story...stupid fog lights lol.
We should do a group buy or something for coils.

I bought a stock intake, and also bought a new K&N filter.
I think I will need some help, an extra hand for removing the front bumper and re-installing it, because of the fog light and headlight washer assemblies...
Saturday morning, any local help?

Depending on the time I may be able to give you a hand. You don't have to disconnect the washer lines btw. Just swing the front bumper to the side with the line attached and you can still do everything you need to do. The only thing that's a pain is reconnecting the last fog light connection.

Damn, I am out too. I would have liked to help on this as I need to take my bumper off too.

Jay,
The car is going to be lowered in April... as we all know the MS CAI doesn't really add appreciable HP gains to the engine. It adds noise mostly. I can give up some of that noise for 100% rock solid reliability in all weather conditions.

Pros raises a good point, why do the change now, keep the MS CAI in and just tuff it out for the next 2-3 weeks then enjoy it for the summer. Then you can do the swith in the fall.

Thursday sounds good for me. Count me in! I just hope I can remember on the day of the meet. Neo would always remind me before, but now he is other wise occupied more often then not.

I may try and source some used ones. If I can't find any by Friday morning then I'll just order them from Scarb Mazda. I was looking at finishline as well but by the time you do the conversion, shipping, and customs the price is basically the same. Plus in getting them here you can just go right back and swap em if anything's wrong. Plus I need them asap 'cause the force is telling me that it's gonna go soon.

jays guy or al must be giving you guys a heluva price. my cost (as an employee at the local mazda dealer) on the coils was still pretty high. i just got my coils today that i had ordered from finishline near the end of last week. I did save a bit (not a lot but it was still a little savings). so you guys that are playing closer to list price than i would likely still be saving enough money to order from finishline unless you need them ASAP. also if a few of you go in together you save on the shipping and possibly any other fees. Also, dont have them shipped via UPS if thats the case. i got juiced pretty good. ive been told by a few people now that you can avoid alot of other fees by having stuff shipped USPS for any cross border transactions.
Edit: i just recalculated everything and i actually saved quite a bit even though i got juiced on the shipping/brokerage fees. just thought i would point that out

Well
I'm going to stick with Thursday as I'm hoping to have my car back together (assuming I get my BHR Coils back) by then and providing the weather co-operates I'll be itching to go for a drive.
If anyone is interested I have a used set of coils with about 30k on them, you can have'em for free (free as in beer?). I changed them when I installed my nitrous kit, so I don't believe there is anything wrong with'em.

Next week sounds alright.. something to do on a Thurs. night. :-)
And it's local! Woohoo! lol
Sorry if I haven't been posting lately. I'm in the middle of moving into a new place and getting things ready is taking up alot of my time.
Hopefully when the new season starts we'll be able to attend more meetings. :-)
