My poor car got nailed by a boulder on the 401 a few weeks ago. Scratched the hood, cracked the windshield, and dented the roof!!!!

I finally get her back on Monday!!!! The whole front end and roof have been repainted, and i've decided to wrap her in 3M film to cut back on the stone damage!

Just in time to put her away for the winter

Yup!! and to top it all off, the car is still making that strange rattling growl at high rpm, so she's going into the shop on Wednesday for a checkup on the brand new engine

 

About $1,100.00 for the extra work i had done, including the 3M film. Then there is the $500 insurance deductible as well...........

ARGH, oh well the car will be looking brand new for the spring!

 

holy crap kevin. i really feel for ya man. you have got to have the worst luck with this car. its so sad actually. such a gorgeous car spending all its time in the shop. and now this. i wonder how much longer this can go on though. most people would have given up by now. sold the car and badmouthed rx8s to everyone within earshot. lol.

geez.... I'm just glad the rock didn't go through the windshield and hit you in the face!!!

I've seen some really scary **** on the 401 and 400. This one time, there was a 40ft open top gonola type trailer. It was filled to the top with SCRAP METAL pieces. There was no tarp to cover it! I could see some smaller pieces vibrating against the wind from the speed. All it takes is one random chance, one bump here and there on the road to dislodge that, catch wind and fly back into someone's car. I can't believe this **** is still happening. Cops are trying to blame the safety on the road on fast drivers.... well how about try enforcing this? This is far more dangerous than anything!!!

Oh yeah, all those dump trucks, I swear the 401 is pretty much 50% truck/transport traffic... it's ridiculous...

That sucks man! Least with 3M will have some better protection next time. Is it the best out there??
