damned vibrations
whos having/had weird vibrations, in the form of buzzing sound from the windows (i.e. driver side, rear)already? The driver side is once in a while, when the bass is turned up, and the rear window would buzz, after a hard drive.... its testing my patience and my appreciation of the car... but the most annoying thing is the vibrations from the seats, it a intermetten resonance from the engine (maybe), like the car's got hiccups or something... I just hope its all fixable.... I can't be believe my baby is got the shakes already (only 6k on it), its premium label is peeling fast....
sorry but, I just had to rant abit.

yea my car makes this really weird "wo wo wo wo" that sounds like it's comming from the back windows.. Can't really explain the "wo wo wo wo" but it's faint, and only happens when i'm on the highway.. Not that big of deal, i have the ability of blocking out sounds like shitty songs on the radio.. or maybe i just don't pay attention to anything else but the road
but my driver window rattles when i have the stereo turned up, now that is annoying.. dealership put the bass/treb to 0 and when it didnt duplicate the sound they didn't really care.. bleh

yeah, the dealership should just cure these little things, but i know how they can be annoying....sometimes i will hear this really faint sorta plastic vibrating....im not really sure where its coming from, but whenever i touch the rearview mirror it goes away....so im convinced thats where it is from...

I hear ya. I was at my dealer a few days ago, since my engine light flashed at me when I was on the highway--great time to see that sucker. They could find out what was wrong, and assumed that it may be that I was looseing traction, which would cause the DSC to kick in cutting the fuel line to the engnie--and ta da, engine light flashing--what? Ok...I told about the virbaration situation that everyone seems to be experiecing, but they couldn't "re-create" it, so no fixes--yet. If enough of us ask our dealers or Mazda Canada about it, I feel there will be a solution out there.

im not really getting much of a vibration. just a tiny rattle, that appears once and a while....nothing to worry about.
Hobbes, i dont know about the DSC cutting the fuel line so abrubtly like that....that would be pretty extreme, i dont think the DSC is so aggressive, you'd almost spin if you went from a little oversteer to no power on a race track.......could be a fluke thing....i know my GF tiburon had a CEL the other day, that went just went away..prolly something to do with the cold....

I have the same problem, always hearing rattling noises. Took my car to the dealership and they told me the insulation in the door was loose. They fixed it on the driver's side but now the passenger side is rattling. drives me NUTS!

that "wo wo wo" sound is coming from your wheels. either its out of balance, tires are shitty, or you have a bent wheel. any car is going to make some sort of noise. with all the plastic, vinyl, metal, etc etc. things are gonna rub, tick, whatever. get used to it, it's never gonna go away.

I'm going to pull the mirror down and put a small dab of crazy glue in there. No way am I bringing it to the dealer to fix. They'll probably scratch up my interior doing it. :S

That's what I'm thinking too. When they told me that tale I was a little weirded out, but what they hey, the computer says it's all good. I forgot to mention I had a rattling sound the first week of driving, it came from the headliner, which they fixed by add mire insulation to eilminate the sound. It worked. May be it's that. the rearview mirror can come loose due to, well, us using the stereo the way it should be used :D MyRxBad has the right idea, a little reinforcement will make a world of difference.

I can't believe that nobody's got any problem w/ the car hiccuping when idling... it seems like either the engine or exhaust sys... anyways, thats my biggest petpeev. I don't know maybe I'm just overly sensitive to these chgs, but I definitly noticed that the car is not as smooth, do you guys know what can be the cause of the irregular breathing patterns at idle?

but this was a recent development. it didn't happen when the car was new... I'm wondering if this can be fixed or not.
hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
my girl said that once in passing, she was just joking of course, but at that moment, I swore (secretly to myself) that I will not rest til' I get her drunk nuff to straddle it one day... :D

Kart Racer - I had the plastic buzz from the mirror when I picked up the car in August. It seemed to be the sleeve on the stem of the mount. I played with it a couple of time without success. However, once I adjusted the mirror "up" - basically folded the mount at both joints - it seemed to trap the sleeve. Haven't heard that particular buzz in a long time. Now, if only I could figure out which heavy piece of equipment in the centre of the dash gets loose in the cold causing the rather loud thumping sound every time I hit a bump in the road....

I hear alot of those noises coming from the center of the dash towards the passenger side, it's really annoying and starting to bug the **** out of me. Coming home late friday night, driving on the QEW, I heard every little thump, squeek, what ever f***in noise it can produce, it seemed like it did. When you are driving at highway speeds, or above, all those sounds seem to multiply and intensify, and the only way I can get rid of those sounds, is by turning up the stereo, although, those sounds aren't loud enough to be heard no more, I get a nice surprise from the speaker on the drivers door that rattles or whatever, sounds like a plastic shopping bag in there. If it's not one sound, it's another

I have started getting a little buzz sound on the bass from my driver door at high volume, but I get the most noises when it's REALLY cold out. I'm going to wait till it warms up again to see if the noise in the door stops, I'm gussing the materials just shrink when it gets cold.
